HURA IZAKAYA BRINGS THE VIBRANT STREETS OF SHIBUYA TO THE HEART OF DA NANG
Following the positive impressions from Furama Dining House at Barett Urban Zone, 73 Tran Bach Dang, Furama continues its journey of bringing culinary culture closer to diners through Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street, expected to become a multi-layered culinary destination with distinct styles and experiences.
Here, diners will discover Hura Izakaya on the 1st floor, Thai Siam Kitchen on the 2nd floor and Com Nieu Co Vi on the 3rd floor, serving individual guests. The 4th floor is designed for groups, gala dinners, and tour programs, opening up a flexible space for gatherings and group culinary experiences.

Kicking off that journey is Hura Izakaya – a 120-seat Japanese izakaya-style restaurant on the 1st floor, designed as a vibrant slice of Tokyo, where lanterns, signs, eateries, calls for orders, and the aroma from the grill blend together to create an energetic space. 91 Studio is the design unit for this project, and Furama Dining House 2/9 is expected to open in the first week of December 2026.
A Miniature Japanese Street within Furama Dining House
Stepping into Hura Izakaya, diners are transported to a bustling dining street of Shibuya – Tokyo, where glowing signs, red and white lanterns, stalls, narrow alleys, and dining booths create the unique vibrant atmosphere of urban Japan.
The space of Hura is not designed as a quiet or overly formal Japanese restaurant. On the contrary, it carries the spirit of a modern Japanese street: fun, fast, lively, intimate, and full of emotion. Rows of high-hanging lanterns, Japanese-style signs, graphic walls, booths, a central counter, and dining table layouts evoke the feeling of walking through a yokocho – a Japanese culinary alley where people can eat, drink, chat, and enjoy the evening after a day’s work.
Concept images show a space treated with rich visual elements: a central walkway flanked by seating areas, dense hanging lanterns, Japanese signs, a red-white-black-wood color palette, and warm yellow lighting that creates a distinct “indoor street” feel. This is the major differentiator of Hura Izakaya: the restaurant doesn’t just sell Japanese food; it recreates a Japanese atmosphere that can be felt from the very first step.
Tabletop Grilling – The Central Experience of Hura Izakaya
At Hura Izakaya, the culinary experience is built around the spirit of yakiniku – tabletop grilling. This is a beloved dining style in Japanese culture, where diners don’t just wait for food to be served but directly participate in the enjoyment process.
Every dining table becomes a meeting point. Meat, seafood, vegetables, and side dishes are prepared for diners to grill together, share, toast, and enjoy the aroma spreading right at the table. It is these moments that define the izakaya spirit: delicious food, a joyful atmosphere, long-running stories, and the connection between those sitting together.

The views in the portfolio show the grill table system arranged in various layouts, suitable for groups of friends, families, tourists, and office workers; the smoke extraction system above the tables is integrated into the design to serve the tabletop grilling experience more conveniently. As a result, Hura Izakaya maintains the vibrant spirit of a Japanese grill house while meeting the operational requirements of a modern restaurant within Furama Dining House.
The “Hura” Spirit – Eat Well, Drink Joyfully, Connect Together
The name Hura evokes the sound of joy, cheering, and excitement. While Vietnamese people are familiar with “zo zo” and Japanese people with “kanpai,” at Hura Izakaya, diners are invited to create their own toasting culture:
Hura! Hura! Hura!
Three shouts of “Hura” are a greeting of joy, readiness, and connection. It is the opening sound for a meal, a meeting, and stories around the grill. Hura is not just the name of a restaurant; Hura is the spirit of this space: youthful, excited, open, and full of energy.
Here, every meal is more than just enjoying Japanese food. It is a true gathering: grilling together, eating together, toasting together, and sharing together. The more people, the merrier Hura becomes. The more laughter, the more Hura embodies the true izakaya spirit.

High-Energy Design, Inspired by Japanese Streets
The space of Hura Izakaya is created from many layers of familiar imagery from Japanese culinary districts: red and white lanterns, high-hanging signs, noren curtains at the door, tiling, warm wood, booth seating, graphic posters, and yellow lighting. All are combined to create a bustling feel like a miniature dining street.
One of the strengths of the concept is how the space is divided into many “small storefronts” within the same restaurant. Each seating area feels like a small roadside stall, yet remains part of the unified whole of Hura Izakaya. Interior facade concept images show a system of signs, lanterns, and layered facades, creating a sense of crowded fun, rhythm, and multiple viewpoints.
This design is very suitable for the 1st floor of Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street. The 1st floor needs to be a space capable of strongly attracting attention from the outside, creating curiosity, drawing guests in, and kicking off the experience for the entire building. Hura Izakaya achieves this through visuals, sound, light, and the aroma from the grill tables.

Hura Izakaya within the Furama Dining House Ecosystem
Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street is not a building with just one restaurant, but a multi-story culinary journey. In that journey, Hura Izakaya plays the role of the first touchpoint – the youngest, most vibrant, and capable of energizing the entire project.
While Thai Siam Kitchen on the 2nd floor brings the colors of Thailand, and Com Nieu Co Vi on the 3rd and 4th floors tells the story of Vietnamese rice, Hura Izakaya on the 1st floor is the exciting greeting of Furama Dining House: a place that is easy to enter, easy to stay, easy to order more, and easy to return to with friends.
Hura Izakaya also represents a new direction for Furama: not only bringing cuisine outside the resort but also bringing international culinary experiences into Da Nang’s urban life in a vivid, intimate, and identity-rich way. This is a very important spirit in Furama Dining’s expansion strategy: Beyond the Resort, Into the City.
A New Rendezvous for Japanese-Style Fun in Da Nang
Hura Izakaya was born to be a meeting place. A place for friends to meet after work. A place for tourists to find the atmosphere of Tokyo in the heart of Da Nang. A place for families to enjoy tabletop grilling together. A place for colleagues to raise their glasses and shout “Hura!” during high-energy evenings.
With a concept recreating the vibrant Shibuya street, the tabletop grilling experience, and the joyful izakaya spirit, Hura Izakaya promises to become one of the most impressive opening points of Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street.
