AN THUONG UPGRADES ITS TOURISM AMENITIES: AN OPPORTUNITY FOR FURAMA DINING HOUSE AT BARETT URBAN ZONE TO BECOME A NEW CULINARY AND CULTURAL DESTINATION
With experience in the hospitality sector, Furama Resort Danang has the opportunity to bring its strengths in service and cuisine into urban life, contributing to enriching the experiences for tourists in the My An – An Thuong beach area.
“One House, Four Flavors”
Unlike single restaurant models, Furama Dining House is developed under the concept “One House, Four Flavors”, bringing together various culinary styles and cultures in one destination.
From traditional Vietnamese dishes, Thai cuisine, and a steakhouse to Japanese izakaya, Furama Dining House offers the opportunity to explore many flavors in a space close to the rhythm of An Thuong life. This diversity allows the destination to serve various needs, from daily meals to gatherings with friends and family reunions.

The synergy between urban infrastructure and culinary destinations
Upgrading public utilities combined with the participation of experienced hospitality businesses can create synergistic value for An Thuong.
Convenient infrastructure, a more complete travel experience
Green spaces and well-planned parking lots will contribute to improving accessibility, making it more convenient for tourists to explore the neighborhood. Meanwhile, culinary-cultural destinations like Furama Dining House can add attractive experiences, encouraging visitors to spend more time in the area.
The combination of practical utilities and quality service products will contribute to creating a more harmonious urban tourism environment, meeting the needs of both locals and international guests.
Cuisine with identity – A part of the nightlife experience
As An Thuong is oriented to become a nightlife space with diverse products suitable for regional characteristics, culinary destinations with their own identity will play an important role.
A dinner, a meeting with friends, or a journey to discover Vietnamese, Thai, and Japanese cuisine in the same neighborhood can become a memorable part of the trip. Accordingly, cuisine not only meets dining needs but also contributes to creating a reason for tourists to stop, experience, and return to An Thuong.
Furama Dining House Barett in the journey of expanding hospitality experiences
For Furama Resort Danang, Furama Dining House Barett is a step in the direction of bringing culinary culture strengths outside the resort space, closer to local people, the international community living in Danang, and tourists staying around the My An – An Thuong beach area.
Connecting Furama’s culinary essence with urban life
Through a model that combines multiple culinary styles in one destination, Furama Dining House can expand the hospitality experience from the resort space to urban life. This is also an opportunity to introduce diverse culinary values to more customer groups, while contributing to enriching the city’s culinary map.
With its location in An Thuong and the “One House, Four Flavors” concept, Furama Dining House Barett has the potential to become a suitable meeting point for those who want to explore multiple cuisines in one space and immerse themselves in the rhythm of the tourist neighborhood.

New An Thuong: Where tourists want to stop and return
Danang’s research into adjusting the An Thuong project towards enhancing public utilities, green spaces, and regular service products is a positive signal for the area’s development.
If implemented synchronously, An Thuong can gradually transform from a vibrant tourist neighborhood into an organized urban destination, where visitors do not just pass through but also want to stop to eat, meet, explore, and enjoy unique experiences.
In that journey, Furama Dining House Barett has the opportunity to become one of the typical meeting points, where Furama’s culinary essence blends into the rhythm of An Thuong life, contributing to building the image of a civilized, lively, and identity-rich tourist neighborhood.
SEAFOOD & STEAK BUFFET AT CAFÉ INDOCHINE: WHERE THE FLAVORS OF THE OCEAN COME TOGETHER
“`html
Within the culinary setting of Café Indochine at Furama Resort Danang, a seafood feast unfolds with a variety of choices to explore, from fresh seafood and delicate sashimi to perfectly grilled steaks. With seafood at its heart, the Seafood & Steak Buffet offers a diverse dining experience while preserving the natural freshness of each ingredient. If you are looking for a seafood buffet in Da Nang for a memorable evening of dining, the Seafood & Steak Buffet at Café Indochine is well worth discovering.
Seafood & Steak Buffet at Café Indochine – Where the Flavors of the Ocean Begin with Fresh Ingredients
Located within Furama Resort Danang, Café Indochine presents a dining spread with seafood at its heart. Selections from the sea are prepared in a variety of ways, from grilling and steaming to live cooking, allowing each ingredient to reveal its distinctive texture and flavour.
The “Ocean to Table” philosophy begins with ingredients delivered to the restaurant daily and displayed fresh at the central seafood station. Prawns, squid, octopus, scallops and a variety of other seafood are presented for guests to view and select before they are prepared.
The seafood is then prepared in different ways, from grilling and steaming to live cooking. Prawns retain their crisp texture and natural sweetness, squid offers a satisfying bite, while scallops are tender and succulent. Grilling brings out the ingredients’ aromatic character, while gentler cooking methods preserve the delicate, natural flavours of the seafood. Guests can also choose from a selection of sauces and seasonings to tailor each dish to their preferences.
One of Café Indochine’s distinguishing features is its daily buffet service. Rather than being available only on selected days, the Seafood & Steak Buffet is served every evening, allowing guests to choose whichever day best suits their schedule.

And while seafood is where the feast begins, there is still more to discover. Delicate sashimi offers a clean, refreshing taste, while steaks are grilled to perfection for a rich and satisfying flavour. All are brought together at Café Indochine, where guests can take their time choosing and enjoying dishes according to their own preferences.
Seafood, Sashimi and Steak – Three Distinctive Highlights of One Buffet Experience
Seafood – The Centrepiece of the Feast
Seafood takes centre stage at the Seafood & Steak Buffet at Café Indochine, with a variety of fresh selections from the sea prepared and served in different ways. Prawns, squid, octopus, scallops and other seafood come together to create a diverse range of flavours, from natural sweetness and delicate freshness to rich, smoky notes from the grill.
A particular highlight is the half Nha Trang lobster served to every guest, making it one of the most anticipated features of the buffet. Carefully selected, the lobster retains its freshness and distinctive natural sweetness, giving each guest the opportunity to savour a premium seafood selection as part of the feast.

Sashimi – A New Highlight for a Seaside Seafood Experience
One of the latest additions to the Seafood & Steak Buffet at Café Indochine is sashimi, offering another way to enjoy seafood alongside grilled and freshly cooked selections.
Fresh fish is served in its near-natural form, allowing guests to fully appreciate its delicate sweetness, tender texture and natural character. Paired with wasabi and soy sauce, sashimi offers a refined way to savour fresh ingredients, with a light yet distinctive depth of flavour.
Few hotel restaurants or buffet venues bring fresh seafood, sashimi and steak together in a single dining experience. From fresh selections from the sea and Japanese-style sashimi to cuts of meat prepared hot to order, guests can enjoy several favourite categories without having to choose between different culinary styles.
Another notable advantage is that the Seafood & Steak Buffet at Café Indochine is served daily rather than on only a few selected days of the week. This offers greater flexibility for both in-house guests and local diners, who can plan their buffet experience around their own schedules.
With the addition of sashimi, the Seafood & Steak Buffet at Café Indochine offers an even more varied feast, allowing each guest to choose how to begin, combine and enjoy dinner according to their own taste.
Steak – A Highlight for Meat Lovers
While seafood brings the freshness of the ocean to the table, steak introduces a richer, more robust dimension. Grilled to perfection, the cuts are aromatic, tender and juicy, creating an appealing contrast with the seafood and sashimi selections.
The Teppanyaki experience adds another lively element to the evening. At the counter, guests can watch chefs prepare dishes live on the teppanyaki grill, from the satisfying sizzle of meat on the hot surface to their skilful techniques and, at times, eye-catching displays of knife and ingredient handling. Dining becomes an experience that engages not only the palate but also the eyes.

More Choices for a Complete Dining Experience
Beyond seafood, sashimi and steak, the buffet offers an array of additional choices to suit different tastes. From side dishes and hot selections to options that can be enjoyed throughout the meal, each category adds another layer of flavour and variety to the buffet experience.
There is no set order to follow. Guests can begin with seafood, move on to sashimi, enjoy a freshly grilled steak and return to their favourite dishes whenever they wish. This freedom is part of what makes a buffet so appealing, allowing everyone to create a dining experience of their own.

Where Culinary Delights Meet the Sounds and Colours of Indochine
Warm Wooden Interiors Inspired by Indochine Elegance
Upon entering Café Indochine at Furama Resort Danang, guests will notice an atmosphere that sets it apart from a conventional buffet restaurant. Dark wood, warm golden lighting and details inspired by Indochine architecture create a setting that feels both elegant and welcoming, inviting guests to slow down and enjoy a relaxed evening at the table.
Here, the surroundings are more than a backdrop for dinner. Architectural lines and interior details evoke the spirit of old Indochine, expressed in a refined style that complements Furama’s resort setting. Within this atmosphere, a seafood feast becomes part of a broader experience where cuisine, architecture and culture come together in one evening.

Enjoy Culinary Delights Alongside Cultural Performances
Alongside its dining offerings, Café Indochine features evening performances of the đàn tranh, a traditional Vietnamese zither that brings the sounds of Vietnamese musical heritage into the elegant dining setting. The performance takes place during buffet service, allowing guests to enjoy the music with dinner without interrupting their dining experience.

The evening continues with nightly Cham dance performances at Café Indochine, showcasing a distinctive cultural tradition of Central Vietnam through music, traditional costumes and graceful movements.

A Memorable Evening at Furama Resort Danang
From the Indochine-inspired surroundings and the sounds of the đàn tranh to the graceful movements of Cham dance, the Café Indochine experience unfolds through layers of sensory and cultural discovery. The seafood feast may be the starting point, but the setting and accompanying cultural experiences are what make an evening at Furama Resort Danang even more distinctive.

DANAKSARA – A CENTRAL VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT IN DA NANG ROOTED IN MEMORIES
Located at Furama Villas Da Nang, Danaksara is a Vietnamese restaurant focusing on Central Vietnamese cuisine, with a menu built from dishes, flavors, and memories associated with Quang Nam – Da Nang. But instead of starting with a list of famous local dishes, Danaksara began with a different question: what truly makes up the memory of a land?
From that question, Danaksara rediscovers things close to Central Vietnamese life – from familiar dishes in family meals and old images of Da Nang to the items present on the dining table. These values are brought into today’s space and culinary experience, creating a restaurant that not only serves Vietnamese food but also retells a part of Da Nang’s story.
And that story begins with the name Danaksara itself.

What makes a Vietnamese restaurant truly belong to Da Nang?
A restaurant that started with a question
A restaurant is often introduced by its most visible aspects: the space, the menu, or signature dishes. But Danaksara’s story begins with a different question: “How can a restaurant truly belong to the land where it exists?”
Danaksara’s difference also starts from that question. Instead of just putting famous Central Vietnamese dishes on the menu, Danaksara explores what the people of Quang Nam – Da Nang and Central Vietnam actually eat, remember, and carry in their memories. From family meals and familiar flavors to the simple things of life, the restaurant chooses to tell the story of the land through the memories of those who belong to this place.
When the name also carries memories of Da Nang
“Danaksara” is not a name chosen at random. “Danak” evokes the mark of old Da Nang, while “Sara” suggests the image of a graceful and elegant Central Vietnamese woman. These two layers of association create a name that is both tied to the land and carries the charm of its people.
The name “DANAKSARA” is combined from the words “Danak” and “Sara,” meaning a graceful and beautiful Da Nang girl.
From the name, Danaksara clearly defined its direction: building a Vietnamese restaurant in Da Nang where Central Vietnamese cuisine is retold from the perspective of those who grew up with those dishes.

An ancient Da Nang preserved in today’s space
Old photos of Da Nang displayed at Danaksara
Stepping into Danaksara, diners can encounter images of Da Nang from another era placed within today’s restaurant space. These photos are not just to recall a past beauty, but to place the past and present side by side: a Da Nang that once existed in memory, and the Da Nang that diners are standing in today.
Therefore, Danaksara is not just a place to dine in Da Nang, but also a place where diners can learn more about the city through images, dishes, and stories associated with local life.
One of the old images of Da Nang placed at Danaksara

Wooden tray rice becomes a signature dish at Danaksara
If the photos preserve memories of the city, the wooden tray brings that story closer to family life. At Danaksara, Vietnamese Rice on a wooden tray is one of the signature choices, bringing many Vietnamese dishes together on one tray so that diners can enjoy them in the familiar way of a family meal.
The image of the meal tray is also a part of memory very close to Vietnamese life, especially in Central Vietnamese family meals. Thus, from the story of a city, Danaksara shifts to a more intimate memory: memories of the kitchen, of family, and of the times everyone sat together around a meal tray.
Vietnamese Rice on a wooden tray – A signature feature of the cuisine at Danaksara

The unique story of bowls and chopsticks
At Danaksara, that story also lies in the small details on the dining table. The ceramic bowls were hand-selected by the F&B team, so that each piece carries its own character and is not exactly like the others. Patterns such as images of chickens or chrysanthemums were also chosen with specific associations, making items that are very familiar on the dining table become part of how Danaksara tells its story.
Therefore, the experience at Danaksara is created not only by the food or the space but also by the things diners hold in their hands throughout the meal. At Danaksara, memory is not just hung on the wall. It also sits right on the dining table.
Patterned ceramic dishes at Danaksara carry so many stories and meanings behind them

The story of Central Vietnamese cuisine at Danaksara
Danaksara’s menu starts with Central Vietnamese dishes
The story of Danaksara’s menu also begins with the very question posed at the beginning: how can a restaurant truly belong to the land where it exists? When reviewing Danaksara’s initial menu, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh asked a seemingly simple question that became a turning point in how the restaurant defined its cuisine: “Are these truly the dishes that the people of this land eat and remember?”
That question made Danaksara look at the menu not just from the perspective of a restaurant serving Central Vietnamese cuisine, but from the perspective of those who grew up with that culinary culture. Because a dish might be famous among tourists, but it isn’t necessarily the dish tied to the memories of locals. From there, Danaksara began searching for a menu built from things closer to Central Vietnamese life.
Dishes associated with Central Vietnamese family memories
The culinary team from Quang Nam – Da Nang was invited to share the dishes they always want to eat, the dishes their families often cooked, and the dishes they miss most when away from home. Those answers not only helped Danaksara find familiar dishes but also showed that every dish can be tied to a kitchen, a loved one, or a very specific time in memory.
Danaksara does not just gather famous dishes. Danaksara gathers the dishes that Central Vietnamese people remember. Therefore, the menu is built from familiar dishes in family meals, flavors associated with Quang Nam – Da Nang, and dishes that the culinary team themselves wish to rediscover in their own memories.
Stir-fried morning glory with garlic – an extremely familiar dish in the meals of many generations of Central Vietnamese people

From the memories of a land to today’s dining table
From the initial question of how a restaurant truly belongs to Da Nang, Danaksara’s story has gradually been answered through many layers: a name evoking old Da Nang, images preserving memories of the city, a space inspired by familiar things, a wooden tray recalling family meals, and a menu formed from the culinary memories of Central Vietnamese people.
But those memories are not kept to stand still in the past. They are brought back to the dining table, cooked, shared, and continue to become new experiences for today’s diners. That is also what Danaksara wants to convey – “From the memories of a land, to today’s dining table.”
Danaksara – A restaurant in Da Nang for those who want to understand more about Central Vietnam
Located at Furama Villas Da Nang, Danaksara is the choice for diners who want to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in a space tied to the story of Da Nang and Central Vietnam. Instead of just introducing famous dishes, the restaurant focuses on flavors close to local life, from Vietnamese Rice on a wooden tray to dishes selected by the culinary team from their own memories.

FROM RESORT TO CITY STREETS: HOW FURAMA’S CULINARY JOURNEY CONTRIBUTES TO DA NANG’S NIGHT-TIME ECONOMY
From a restaurant system located within a 5-star resort setting, Furama’s cuisine is stepping out of the resort grounds to be closer to the rhythm of life in Da Nang. The appearance of Furama Dining House at Barrett Urban Zone, An Thuong, not only adds another dining location but also shows how Furama is expanding its culinary ecosystem from a resort destination into spaces connected to city life.
After An Thuong, a new Furama Dining House is being expanded and developed on 2/9 Street. Two destinations in two different areas, but both raise a notable question: when Furama’s cuisine leaves the resort to get closer to the city, what is kept, what changes, and how is Furama Dining House becoming a part of Da Nang’s culinary picture?
From Resort Space to a Furama Culinary Ecosystem
The Culinary Foundation Built at Furama Resort Danang
Furama Resort Danang has long had a diverse culinary system right within the resort, from seafood feasts and steaks at Café Indochine, Italian cuisine at Don Cipriani’s to seaside steaks at Steak House The Fan and Central Vietnamese dishes at Danaksara. In addition to the restaurants, there are also Hai Van Lounge, Ocean Terrace Bar, L’amuse Gourmet Cafe, and V-Senses Café, where diners can stop for a light meal or a drink during the day.
This diversity creates the foundation for Furama’s cuisine in Da Nang: not just one culinary style or one representative restaurant, but many options built in different spaces and contexts. Each space brings its own approach, yet all contribute to the rich dining choices that guests can find at Furama Resort Danang.

When Furama’s Cuisine Begins to Step Outside the Resort
If previously diners often looked to Furama Resort Danang as a resort destination combined with dining, the appearance of Furama Dining House opens up a different approach. Furama’s cuisine is starting to appear in vibrant areas of the city, where locals, tourists staying in the center of Da Nang, or diners not staying at the resort can all come and dine.
This is also a transition from a restaurant system within a resort to a model closer to urban life. Furama Dining House brings the spirit of Furama’s cuisine closer to the daily rhythm of Da Nang.
Furama Dining House – Bringing Furama Cuisine to the Streets of Da Nang
Furama Dining House in An Thuong – A New Meeting Point in the Heart of the Coastal City
If Furama Resort Danang is a resort destination, then Furama Dining House at Barrett Urban Zone, An Thuong, is the step that brings Furama’s cuisine into a context closer to the city’s rhythm. Located at 73 Tran Bach Dang, An Thuong area, this location connects with one of Da Nang’s most vibrant neighborhoods, home to many restaurants, tourism services, and international tourists.
The choice of An Thuong thus carries clear significance in Furama Dining House’s expansion journey. Diners do not need to stay at the resort to access culinary options within the Furama ecosystem; instead, they can find a destination right in the heart of the urban area, conveniently combined with their city exploration schedule. From here, Furama Dining House begins to form a new approach: bringing Furama cuisine from the resort space closer to the life of Da Nang.

A Culinary Journey Instead of a Single Restaurant
With the spirit of “One building, four destinations,” the difference of Furama Dining House lies in how it is developed as a destination with multiple culinary options, rather than focusing on just one restaurant or style.
At Furama Dining House in An Thuong, that journey unfolds across multiple floors: Phố Cuốn on the 1st floor offers familiar Vietnamese dishes, Thai Siam Kitchen on the 2nd floor features Thai cuisine, Steak House The Fan on the 3rd floor continues the steak expertise of Furama Resort Danang, while Hura Izakaya on the 4th floor offers Japanese izakaya-style options. These concepts are placed within the same destination, giving diners more reasons to return to Furama Dining House rather than just visiting for a specific dish or meal.
The Next Expansion Step of Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street
Following the destination in An Thuong, Furama Dining House is continuing to expand with a new location on 2/9 Street, one of Da Nang’s most vibrant and highly connected routes. This location brings the Furama Dining House model to a different context than Barrett Urban Zone, closer to central areas and the city’s daily movement.
If An Thuong opens a Dining House in an area concentrated with tourism activities and services, 2/9 Street will be another access point, contributing to expanding Furama Dining House’s presence in Da Nang and further completing Furama’s network of culinary destinations in the city.

Discover Furama Dining House in Da Nang
From restaurants within the resort to new destinations in the heart of the coastal city of Da Nang, Furama’s culinary story continues to expand in a more natural way. Whether it’s a dinner by the sea or a meeting in the city, each choice opens up a different way to enjoy Furama’s culinary ecosystem.
If you are looking for a restaurant to explore Furama’s cuisine outside the resort, start with Furama Dining House and discover the restaurants available here. Additionally, the restaurants at Furama Resort and Furama Villas are always ready to offer you a different culinary experience, amidst the sea, gardens, and the signature resort space of Furama.

An Thuong, Da Nang – A Tourist Quarter Entering a New Phase of Development
The An Thuong quarter, close to My An beach, has long been a familiar destination for international visitors, with many accommodations, eateries and entertainment venues. According to Bao Van Hoa and Bao Moi, Da Nang is studying adjustments to the investment plan for Phase 2 of the An Thuong Tourist Quarter to make it more practical. Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Nam Hung inspected the project in person and asked for a review of several items in order to use this tourist space more effectively.

Key points of the new direction:
- Removing the musical water floor feature as it is not suitable for the area
- Prioritizing greenery, public spaces and amenities that serve people on a regular basis
- Providing a public car park combined with a park
- Developing new products and activities to extend visitors’ length of stay
- Promoting the night-time economy in a way that is not noisy and not geared toward short-term exploitation
An Thuong is thus shifting from a spontaneously developed quarter into an organized urban tourism space that serves both residents and visitors. In this picture, the question “What to eat in An Thuong?” calls for venues with depth of experience, not just an ordinary meal.

When public infrastructure improves, with more green space and car parking, culinary and cultural destinations such as Furama Dining House Barett are better placed to deliver value. Destination weddings in Da Nang: Spaces for Indian couples
An Indian destination wedding is often remembered as a journey where family and friends spend many days together. From the first meeting and the signature rituals of both families to the final party night, every moment requires a suitable space and thoughtful preparation.
Da Nang offers many options for that journey: beaches for outdoor ceremonies, gardens for intimate gatherings, and grand ballrooms for hundreds of guests to celebrate together. Among the wedding venues in the city, Furama Resort Danang stands out for its ability to connect the wedding ceremony, accommodation, dining, and vacation within the same Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex. Furama Resort Danang

Furama Resort Danang – Where every part of the wedding has its own space
What makes a multi-day wedding memorable is the feeling that each activity has its own personality, yet still belongs to the same story. At Furama Resort Danang, couples can start with a welcome reception in the tropical garden, spend an afternoon by the sea for the main ceremony, and then step into an indoor banquet space as night falls.
The sand, coconut trees, and the sound of waves create a natural backdrop for a seaside ceremony. For couples who prefer more privacy, the garden offers a soft and intimate atmosphere. The resort also features indoor banquet spaces, allowing decoration ideas to continue evolving as the event transitions from the ceremony to the evening party. Furama Resort Danang
For Indian weddings, this flexibility is particularly meaningful. A colorful Haldi, a Sangeet night filled with music and family performances, or a wedding ceremony under a mandap all require different considerations regarding space, timing, decoration, and operation. These are ideas that couples can discuss with the event team to build a schedule that fits their traditions and family wishes. The Furama – Ariyana complex offers both outdoor beachfront spaces and grand ballrooms for multi-activity Indian wedding programs. Ariyana Convention Centre

From intimate ceremonies to large-scale gala dinners
As the number of guests increases, transitioning between venues becomes a crucial part of the plan. In addition to the spaces at the resort, the complex also includes the Furama International Convention Palace and the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang with a system of grand ballrooms, functional rooms, and outdoor areas. Ariyana announces a total capacity of up to 2,500 people, providing more options for large-scale gala nights, stage performances, and receptions for many guests. Indian cuisine in a Vietnamese seaside journey
Cuisine is one of the decisions that needs to be discussed early when organizing an Indian wedding. Each family may have regional preferences, vegetarian requirements, or dietary principles that must be respected. The Furama – Ariyana complex showcases its ability to serve Indian cuisine along with specialized dietary requests; specific menus and service procedures should be agreed upon directly with the organizing team for each event. Choosing a venue for the entire journey, not just the ceremony

FROM MOUNTAINS TO THE PLAINS: A JOURNEY PRESERVING VIETNAMESE HERITAGE THROUGH THREE TRADITIONAL HOUSES AT FURAMA RESORT DANANG
When Ancient Houses Become a Part of Modern Life
Traditional Vietnamese architecture is not just created by tiled roofs, wooden frames, or intricate carvings. Behind each house is a story of the land, the lifestyle, the family, and the way a community has bonded across generations. Therefore, when preserved in a new appearance, these spaces not only help save images of the past but also allow Vietnamese cultural values to continue being present in today’s life.
In Da Nang, that journey is told through three spaces carrying different architectural and cultural imprints. Tàya House brings the beauty of the Mường stilt house from the Northwest mountains to the green space of Lagoon Garden. V-Senses Cafe – Vietnamese Heritage House recreates the image of the Northern three-compartment house, combined with stories of ancient cuisine and life. Meanwhile, Steak House The Fan is inspired by the Kinh Bac five-compartment house to create an intersection between Northern heritage and Western culinary experiences.
Three houses, three stories, and three different approaches, but they all meet at one point: preserving the spirit of traditional Vietnamese architecture and making those values a part of the modern experience in Da Nang.

From the Northwest Mountains – Tàya House and the Story of a Mường Stilt House
An Original Mường Stilt House from Mường Khụ to Da Nang
From the land of Mường Khụ, Hoa Binh, an original Mường stilt house had a special journey to Da Nang and became a part of the Tàya House space at Lagoon Garden. Bringing the house from the Northwest mountains to the coastal city is not just a geographical shift, but also opens an opportunity for Mường stilt house architecture to continue being present and retelling the story of the life, culture, and community spirit of the Mường people in a new space.
The wooden components, traditional house-building techniques, and characteristic architectural details were preserved during the reconstruction process, helping Tàya House maintain the original features of a traditional Vietnamese stilt house. Nestled amidst the greenery of Lagoon Garden, the house creates an intersection between the rustic beauty of the Northwest mountains and the resort space in Da Nang – where visitors can discover Mường culture and traditional architecture right in the heart of the coastal city.

A Space Preserving Community Life and Culture
Inside Tàya House, details such as wooden dowry chests, Mường hanging lamps, Hoang Tuyen wood carvings, and paintings by Nguyen Thanh Son contribute to recreating the life and culture of ethnic communities in the Northwest. Each object and artwork present in the house carries not only decorative value but also opens up stories about family, love, life, and traditional customs. Thanks to this, the Mường stilt house at Tàya House becomes a space for visitors to learn about Mường culture and feel the beauty of traditional Vietnamese architecture through specific imprints.
The community spirit is also expressed through the story of “one house built, the whole village helps” – an image showing the connection and cooperation of the community in building a home. From how a house is formed to the values preserved through generations, Tàya House continues that spirit within the Lagoon Garden space in Da Nang. This is also how Northwest culture is brought into modern life: not just viewed as a part of heritage, but continued to be told and experienced through space, people, and cultural activities.

When Heritage Becomes a Living Experience
At Tàya House, heritage is not only preserved in the architecture of the Mường stilt house but is also continued through experiences close to daily life. Visitors can participate in a Vietnamese cooking class, explore ingredients at the Food Farm, or enjoy private gatherings in a space deeply imbued with Northwest cultural imprints. From the kitchen and the garden to every corner of the house, each experience opens up another way to better understand the culture and life of Vietnamese ethnic communities.
Instead of just observing a traditional space from the outside, visitors have the opportunity to directly participate, enjoy, and connect with the values preserved inside the house. It is the combination of traditional architecture, cuisine, and cultural experiences in Da Nang that helps Tàya House become a vibrant space where values from the Northwest mountains continue to be present in contemporary life.

Returning to the Northern Delta – V-Senses Cafe and the Vietnamese Soul in a Three-Compartment House
Northern Three-Compartment House – The Image of a Vietnamese Home
Inspired by Northern three-compartment house architecture, V-Senses Cafe is recreated with a tiled roof, wooden frame, and a porch that carries the familiar appearance of traditional Vietnamese houses. The three-compartment layout evokes the image of a home where generations live, meet, and gather together. The central space is also linked to family life and traditional beliefs, creating a warm and intimate feeling characteristic of Northern culture.
Amidst the green space of Furama Villas Da Nang, the three-compartment house brings a slice of the Northern countryside closer to the pace of modern life. From the rustic wood materials and tiled roof to the porch opening out to nature, every detail creates the familiar feeling of an ancient Vietnamese home. Through this, V-Senses Cafe not only recreates the traditional three-compartment house but also provides a space for visitors to feel Vietnamese family cultural values and lifestyle in a more intimate way.

From Four Seasons Patterns to Stories Carved in Wood
Stepping into V-Senses Cafe, the imprint of Northern culture lies not only in the three-compartment architecture but is also present through details carved and decorated on wood. The Pine – Chrysanthemum – Bamboo – Ochna patterns recall the four seasons of the year, while the “Longevity” character, the image of a bat holding the “Longevity” character, and traditional motifs create familiar layers of meaning in ancient Vietnamese house spaces. Those details contribute to the characteristic beauty of traditional Vietnamese architecture, where each pattern has its own story.
In addition, mother-of-pearl inlaid wood paintings and Hoang Tuyen wood paintings continue to bring traditional handicraft values into the V-Senses Cafe space. The wood material, carving techniques, and images associated with Vietnamese life create a space rich in culture yet still close to modern experiences. From the roof and wooden frame to every line on the paintings, each detail becomes a layer of the story, helping visitors discover Vietnamese culture in Da Nang through a visual and identity-rich perspective.

Rice Vermicelli and Memories of Ancient Hanoi in a New Space
At V-Senses Cafe, rice vermicelli (bún) is chosen as the focus of the culinary experience, recalling a familiar part of life for Northern people. From Hanoi snail vermicelli with clear, light broth and fresh snails, to Thai Binh fish vermicelli combining fried fish with noodles and celery, each dish carries the imprint of a land and a way of eating that has become familiar through many generations. Traditional recipes are combined with fresh ingredients from various regions, creating a Northern culinary experience in a new space in Da Nang.
Cuisine thus becomes a natural way for cultural memories to continue being present in modern life. A bowl of vermicelli not only evokes memories of Hanoi or Northern countrysides but also brings visitors closer to the story of ingredients, flavors, and the eating habits of Vietnamese people. At V-Senses Cafe – Vietnamese Heritage House, traditional dishes are placed within a three-compartment house space, creating an experience where Vietnamese culture and cuisine in Da Nang are connected through both space and flavor.

Between Tradition and Modernity – Steak House The Fan Reimagines the Kinh Bac Spirit
Kinh Bac Five-Compartment House and the Values of an Ancient Home
At Steak House The Fan, Kinh Bac five-compartment house architecture is recreated through familiar features of an ancient Northern home: yin-yang tiled roofs, a system of columns and beams made of chinaberry wood, and a closely linked five-compartment structure. The central space is usually where the family receives guests and performs important rituals, while the side compartments serve daily living. This spatial organization reflects a lifestyle that emphasizes the bond between family members and generations.
Therefore, the Northern five-compartment house is not merely a type of traditional architecture, but is also associated with the concepts of home, family tradition, and continuity. From the wooden columns and rafters to the tiled roof, the architectural elements together create a space bearing the imprint of Kinh Bac life. Placed within a modern culinary experience in Da Nang, Steak House The Fan brings the spirit of traditional Kinh Bac architecture closer to today’s pace of life.

Cultural Marks Present in Every Corner
At Steak House The Fan, the story of Northern culture is continued through details present in every corner of the house. Hoang Tuyen wood paintings with images of the countryside, family, and folk activities recall familiar slices of traditional life. Natural wood materials and manual carving techniques help the artworks blend into the overall architecture, creating a space that both bears cultural imprints and suits modern culinary experiences.
Outside, the “Areca in front, Banana in back” path recreates the familiar image of Vietnamese houses amidst the Northern countryside space. From the tiled roof and wooden columns to the paintings and surrounding landscape, the details are connected to create a journey of discovering Kinh Bac architecture and culture right within the Steak House The Fan space. Thanks to this, diners do not just come to enjoy the food but can also feel the characteristic features of Northern life through the way the space is built and tells its story.
When Western Cuisine Meets Vietnamese Heritage
Steak House The Fan creates a special combination between Western cuisine and a space bearing Northern cultural imprints. Selected steak portions, quality ingredients, and modern-style service are set against the backdrop of a Kinh Bac five-compartment house, where tiled roofs, chinaberry wood, and traditional architectural details create an experience completely different from the familiar image of a steakhouse.
That intersection is further expanded through Northern folk dance performances in the ocean-facing garden, where traditional culture meets contemporary resort space. From the food to the architecture and the experience, Steak House The Fan shows how Vietnamese heritage can be continued with a creative spirit, bringing the familiar values of Kinh Bac culture into a modern culinary experience in Da Nang.

Three Houses, Three Stories of a Vietnamese Culture
From Mường Stilt Houses to Three-Compartment and Five-Compartment Houses
From the Mường stilt house of the Northwest mountains at Tàya House, to the Northern three-compartment house at V-Senses Cafe and the Kinh Bac five-compartment house at Steak House The Fan, each space carries the imprint of a land and a unique lifestyle. If Tàya House opens up the story of Mường culture and mountain community spirit, and V-Senses Cafe brings the image of the Northern home and culinary memories into a new space, then The Fan continues the Kinh Bac spirit through five-compartment architecture and Western culinary experiences.
Despite differences in origin and expression, all three meet at a common point: traditional Vietnamese architecture is always closely linked to human life and the community. A house is not just made of wood, tiled roofs, or architectural components, but also preserves the way people live, meet, gather, and pass down values from one generation to the next. It is this connection that helps the houses at Tàya House, V-Senses Cafe, and Steak House The Fan continue to tell the story of Vietnamese culture in contemporary life in Da Nang.
Heritage is Not Just Preserved but Continued
In Furama’s ecosystem of experiences, the three spaces of Tàya House, V-Senses Cafe, and Steak House The Fan create a journey through many layers of Vietnamese culture: from the Northwest forests to the Northern delta and the Da Nang coastal space. Each place chooses its own way to bring heritage into life – from Mường stilt house architecture, three-compartment houses, and five-compartment houses to cuisine, art, and cultural experience activities.
It is noteworthy that these values are not placed separately as a part of the past, but are continued to be preserved and promoted in contemporary life. Architecture becomes a meeting space, cuisine becomes a way of storytelling, and direct experiences help culture come closer to visitors. Through this, Da Nang becomes a crossroads of many Vietnamese cultural regions, where traditional values can be preserved, continued, and discovered in new ways.

DANAKSARA: WHERE CENTRAL VIETNAMESE MEMORIES ARE TOLD THROUGH FLAVOUR
Some restaurants start with a business idea. Some restaurants start with a dish. Danaksara, however, started with a question: “How can a restaurant truly belong to the land where it exists?”
The final answer did not just create a name or a menu. It created the story of Danaksara – the story of Da Nang, of Central Vietnam, of the memories of a land and the people who grew up with the flavors here.

From a competition to find a name for the restaurant
When Furama Villas Da Nang was preparing to establish a restaurant specializing in Central Vietnamese cuisine, the first question was not what the restaurant would serve. But rather: “What will the restaurant be named?”
Furama organized a competition to find a name for the restaurant with the hope that the name would have a real connection to the land of Da Nang. Among the proposed ideas, “Danak” was finally chosen – an ancient name associated with Da Nang. But a restaurant needs more than just historical depth. It also needs grace, warmth, and vitality. “Danak” was therefore combined with “Sara” – a feminine name evoking the image of a beautiful, graceful, and noble woman. Previous Furama documents interpreted “Sara” as a high-class woman, a “princess” or “noblewoman”; some introductory articles about Danaksara also use the image of a talented and beautiful princess. (Thanh Nien Newspaper)
And DANAKSARA was born. A name with the resonance of the land but also the softness of a daughter. If Danak represents the memory of Da Nang, then Sara can be imagined as the daughter of that land – graceful, sincere, cherishing family values, and bringing the delicacies of her homeland to welcome guests from afar.
Right from its name, Danaksara identified itself as not just any restaurant that could be placed in any city. Danaksara belongs to Da Nang.

A restaurant on a land of memories
The location of Danaksara also carries a special story. Amidst the green space of Furama Villas Da Nang today, few can imagine that part of this land once belonged to the Nuoc Man airfield area, associated with a turbulent period in Da Nang’s history. Furama itself, when introducing Danaksara from the early days, mentioned this layer of memory of the land. (Furama Vietnam)
Time has passed. Where the sound of aircraft engines was once heard, today it is the sound of wind through the trees. Where war was once witnessed, today families gather around the dinner table. A land carrying memories of the past has become a place for creating new memories.
Danaksara treasures that transition. Therefore, the images of old Da Nang preserved and displayed in the restaurant space are not just for decoration. They are part of the story. The photos take viewers back to a Da Nang of previous decades: a simple city by the sea, old roads, street corners, people, and a pace of life that has gradually become a memory. Guests coming to Danaksara, therefore, do not just see Da Nang today. They are invited to look back at what Da Nang used to be.

But what should a destination restaurant serve?
After having a name, another question appeared: “Which menu truly represents this land?”
The Head Chef prepared the first menu and presented it to the General Manager of Furama Resort Da Nang, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh. It was a menu with many delicious dishes. But after reviewing it, Mr. Quynh still felt something important was missing: “Are these truly the dishes that the people of this land eat and remember?”
A restaurant in a 5-star resort can easily build a menu in the usual way: choose the most famous local dishes, present them more beautifully, add premium ingredients, and introduce them as “local cuisine.” But that doesn’t necessarily touch the soul of the cuisine. Because the food of a land is not just in a cookbook. It lies in the memories of the people who lived there.
“Write down 5 dishes you miss the most when you are away”
Instead of asking the Head Chef to revise the menu once more, Mr. Quynh invited chefs and restaurant staff who are from Quang Nam – Da Nang to participate. Each person received a very simple request: Write down 5 dishes you always want to eat, 5 dishes your family often cooks, and 5 dishes you always remember when you are away.
Not the five most luxurious dishes. Not the five dishes that can be sold at the highest price. Not necessarily the five dishes that tourists know most about. Just the dishes you truly remember.
And interesting things started to happen. Someone remembered their mother’s braised fish. Someone remembered their grandmother’s vegetable soup. Someone remembered Mi Quang. Someone remembered fried flying fish with chives. Someone remembered sweet potato leaves with shrimp paste. Another remembered a very ordinary dish their family had eaten since childhood.
From those answers, a treasury of culinary memories gradually emerged. Each person’s memory became the memory of a community. And from there, the Danaksara menu was formed.
Dishes chosen not for being famous – but for being remembered
That is why the Danaksara menu has dishes very different from the usual “Vietnamese food” menu of an international hotel.
Beside dishes tourists already know like Mi Quang, Hue beef noodle soup, or Da Nang fish cake noodle soup, Danaksara also introduces much more rustic dishes: braised Ca Can fish with turmeric, braised anchovies with starfruit, fried flying fish with chives, jackfruit soup with shrimp, Malabar spinach soup with field crab, sweet potato leaves cooked with shrimp paste, braised snails with bananas, roasted pork with Banh Hoi… These dishes have appeared in Danaksara’s culinary story from the early days. (Furama Vietnam)
These are not dishes created to impress with luxury. Their value lies in memory.
A Central Vietnamese person might see a dish and remember their mother’s kitchen. A Da Nang person living far from home might recognize a flavor they had long forgotten. For international guests, these dishes open another door to understanding Vietnam – not the Vietnam performed for tourists, but the Vietnam in everyday meals.

One place – many flavors that Da Nang people usually have to go to many places to find
Da Nang cuisine has an interesting characteristic. Delicious dishes often have their own specific addresses. To eat Mi Quang, locals have a familiar Mi Quang shop. To eat rice paper rolls with pork, they go to another shop. Fish cake noodle soup has specialized stalls. Fish dishes, shrimp paste dishes, snail dishes, rustic soups, or family meals are found in small eateries, markets, or in each family’s own kitchen.
For locals, that is natural. But a tourist who only has two or three days in Da Nang – especially international guests – rarely has the opportunity to explore everything.
Danaksara brings those flavors under one roof. Not to replace the city’s long-standing eateries, but to become a gateway into the world of Central Vietnamese cuisine. A table at Danaksara can take diners from Quang Nam to Da Nang, from Hue down the Central coast, from street food to family meals.
That is the most important difference of the restaurant: Danaksara does not gather famous dishes. Danaksara gathers dishes that Central Vietnamese people remember.

Mother’s dishes in a 5-star restaurant
Bringing those dishes into Furama Villas posed another challenge. How to serve a rustic dish in a 5-star resort environment without losing its rustic flavor?
Danaksara chose a very clear path:
- Elevate service standards – but do not change the soul of the dish.
- Ingredients must be well-selected.
- Hygiene and processes must meet international hotel standards.
- Presentation must be sophisticated.
- Service must be professional.
But when a person from Quang Nam eats Mi Quang, they must still recognize Mi Quang. When a Central Vietnamese person eats braised fish or jackfruit soup, that flavor must still evoke something familiar.
Current Danaksara content continues to develop in this spirit, emphasizing home-cooked meals, recipes recalled from the memories of grandmothers and mothers, and the use of round wooden trays as a symbol of togetherness. (Furama Vietnam)
That is Soulful Culinary: Food is not just delicious. Food must have a soul.
A small museum without glass cases
Perhaps that is why the photos of old Da Nang in Danaksara carry special meaning. If food preserves memory through taste, then photos preserve memory through images. The two meet in the same space.
Guests can look at a photo of Da Nang from the past and then enjoy a dish that many Central Vietnamese families have cooked for generations. No need for glass cases like a museum. No need for long explanations.
A photo. A dish. A story from the staff. A flavor that suddenly triggers a memory. All together telling the story of a land. In that sense, Danaksara can be seen as a living culinary heritage house – a space of living culinary heritage.
Here, heritage does not stand still. It is cooked every day. Served every evening. Shared around a dinner table.
From old Da Nang to today’s Da Nang
Danaksara was born at Furama Villas in 2018 and was refreshed, returning in 2025, but the core spirit remains the same: honoring Central Vietnamese cuisine and family-flavored meals.
This is also very suitable for the land where the restaurant exists. From the Nuoc Man airfield of a turbulent time to the lush green Furama Villas today. From the Da Nang of old photos to an international tourist city. From dishes in a family kitchen to a dining table welcoming guests from all over the world.
Some things have changed a lot. But there are also things worth keeping. A flavor. A memory. The way a mother seasons a dish. An old photo. A story of the city.
Those are the things Danaksara wants to preserve.
DANAKSARA – THE HOUSE OF CENTRAL VIETNAMESE CULINARY MEMORIES
If the entire Danaksara brand had to be condensed into one idea, it shouldn’t just be:
“Authentic Central Vietnamese Cuisine.”
That is true, but not enough. Danaksara has a deeper story: The name was born from the memory of the land. The space preserves images of old Da Nang. The menu was written from the memories of the people of Quang Nam – Da Nang. And those dishes are served to create new memories for people from all over the world.
Therefore, the positioning I propose for Danaksara is:
DANAKSARA – The House of Central Vietnamese Culinary Memories
And the brand promise can be very simple: FROM OUR MEMORIES TO YOUR TABLE.
This is also how Danaksara fulfills a larger mission of Furama: not just serving guests at a destination, but preserving the values of that destination and introducing them to the world.
Because in the end, what makes people remember a land is sometimes not a grand structure. It’s just a flavor. A meal. An old photo. And the feeling that, even though it’s the first time here, we seem to have once belonged to this place.
