DA NANG AMONG TOP OUTSTANDING DESTINATIONS FOR 2026 SELECTED BY AFAR

Da Nang has just been listed by AFAR, a leading American travel magazine, as one of the outstanding global destinations for 2026 — a positive signal reflecting the city’s growing appeal in the international tourism market.

AFAR describes Da Nang as “a rising coastal metropolis of Southeast Asia,” where visitors can find a rare harmony between nature, culture and modern urban life. This recognition further reinforces Da Nang’s position as the city continues to expand flight networks, attract international investment and diversify its tourism offerings.

The factors that elevate Da Nang on the global tourism map

AFAR highlights Da Nang for its rare blend of natural and urban elements: a lively coastline running along the city center, while Marble Mountains and Son Tra Peninsula create distinctive green spaces with pristine forests extending toward the sea. The close connection between sea – mountains – forest allows Da Nang to simultaneously meet diverse travel interests, from relaxation and eco-exploration to sports and cultural experiences.

Son Tra Peninsula, with its coastal primary forest, serves as Da Nang’s “green lung,” home to many rare species — creating a destination that blends both a seaside city and a rich ecological landscape. (Source: Danang Fantasticity)

In addition to its natural advantages, Da Nang’s growing connectivity also contributes to its emergence as a new regional gateway. New flight routes launched in 2025 have linked the city directly with Bangkok, Manila, and many major Asian destinations, significantly improving accessibility for international travelers — a key criterion in AFAR’s evaluation.

The rapid growth of the luxury resort market further strengthens Da Nang’s position. Upcoming projects such as Nobu and Mandarin Oriental, expected to debut in 2026, show how the city is evolving to attract high-spending visitors while opening a new development cycle for the tourism industry.

More than a beach city, Da Nang is also a convenient starting point for exploring the cultural heritage of Central Vietnam, including Hoi An, Hue and My Son. This connectivity adds depth to a visitor’s journey as they can easily combine relaxation with cultural and historical experiences — creating a compelling, well-rounded destination.

A hospitality ecosystem that helps travelers slow down their journey through Da Nang

Da Nang’s inclusion on AFAR’s list not only affirms its attractiveness, but also shows that the city has formed a sufficiently diverse lodging ecosystem for visitors to explore Central Vietnam at their own pace. Along the journey connecting sea – nature – heritage, beach resorts act as “gentle resting points,” helping travelers recharge between cultural, culinary or heritage-based experiences.

Located on the route linking Da Nang with Hoi An and My Son, Furama Resort Danang has become a familiar choice for those who wish to pair coastal relaxation with cultural discovery. Within a short drive, guests can move from My Khe Beach to Hoi An Ancient Town, or continue their journey into the valley of My Son; and upon returning, they find at the resort a balanced pause between the sea, culture, and modern comforts.

Furama Villas Danang – the perfect stop between the blue ocean and journeys to Hoi An and My Son

Beyond convenience of location, Furama creates a distinctive impression with activities rich in Vietnamese cultural identity — allowing international guests to experience local traditions right within the resort. Here, they can craft traditional Hội An-style lanterns, learn how to brew Vietnamese phin coffee, attend basic Vietnamese language classes, or join cocktail-making sessions inspired by Vietnamese flavors. These experiences are not staged performances, but Furama’s way of preserving cultural values within the rhythm of modern tourism.

Vietnamese cultural experiences at the resort: lantern-making, Vietnamese lessons, phin coffee, and locally inspired cocktails

Alongside cultural activities, the resort’s beachfront advantage enables Furama to offer signature experiences rarely found elsewhere: basket boat rowing, morning kayaking, or sunset SUP. These moments are both athletic and intimate, bringing visitors closer to the everyday relationship between Central Vietnamese people and the sea.

Ocean sports activities at Furama Resort & Villas Danang

Thanks to the combination of location, cultural depth and unique coastal experiences, Furama Resort & Villas Danang plays an important supporting role in Da Nang’s tourism ecosystem — a place where travelers can begin a heritage journey and also end the day in complete relaxation.

DA NANG STRENGTHENS PROMOTION OF MY SON’S IMAGE TO ATTRACT INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS

The Management Board of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Site presented to the leaders of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism a plan to step up promotional activities, expand visitor markets, and strengthen linkages with domestic and international businesses at a working session on November 25. The goal is to make more effective use of existing potential and develop My Son in a way that is commensurate with its value as a world cultural heritage site.

Positive growth in visitor numbers
As of November 24, My Son had welcomed nearly 428,000 visitor arrivals, an increase of 3.9% compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, international visitors reached about 386,000 arrivals (up 3.1%), and domestic visitors reached nearly 42,000 arrivals (up 12.5%). Ticket revenue reached 62 billion VND, an increase of 3.7%.

In addition to traditional markets such as Europe and North America, visitor flows from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia and India are growing strongly, creating a more diverse and stable visitor structure for the heritage site.

Many new cultural and experiential products have been introduced, including visits to the My Son Museum and the Sa Huynh – Champa Culture Museum; connecting tours between Tra Kieu and My Son; hands-on experiences with Cham brocade weaving, Cham pottery making, and conical hat making; and enjoying Cham – Vietnamese cuisine…

Cham art performance programs such as “Crossing the Sacred River”, “Apsara Legend”, “Legendary My Son Night”… are increasingly attracting visitors. Currently, the heritage site maintains 9 performances per day, including 5 shows at the performance house, 2 shows at Tower G and 2 Cham folk singing sessions at the slope of Tower H – forming a distinctive “brand” of My Son.

In addition, new experiential activities such as seasonal check-in points, cycling routes into the temple-tower area, 360-degree virtual reality tours, and 8-language audio guide commentary… have generated positive effects and helped increase visitors’ length of stay.

Enhancing the destination’s position
Mr. Nguyễn Công Khiết – Deputy Director in charge of the Management Board – assessed that the new products have contributed to clarifying the cultural, historical and architectural-artistic values of the heritage site. Compared to before, the average visiting time of tourists has increased from 1 hour to more than 2 hours, demonstrating the growing appeal of the destination.

However, My Son still faces challenges: visitor numbers are not yet truly stable; nighttime products remain limited; spending is relatively low; and some segments of the Northeast Asian market tend to shift to other entertainment destinations. The lack of synchronicity in planning and mechanisms has also led to many products not being fully developed.

The art program “Legendary My Son Night” will be performed regularly to serve nighttime visitors (Source: Da Nang Newspaper)

In the coming time, My Son will focus on consolidating its promotion activities, expanding cooperation with businesses that have stable visitor sources, studying flexible ticket pricing policies and implementing promotional programs aimed at creating a sustainable visitor flow. The heritage site also plans to increase the frequency of the “Legendary My Son Night” program, while developing new products based on the natural landscape such as boating on the Khe Thẻ stream – Thạch Bàn dam, trekking, mountain climbing, team building, camping, mountain biking… In addition, a plan to install telescopes at fire watch posts to view the entire ancient tower complex is also under study.

Mr. Văn Bá Sơn – Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – emphasized that My Son needs to continue diversifying its products, especially activities associated with Cham intangible cultural heritage; at the same time expanding promotion both domestically and internationally. Strengthening communication at Da Nang International Airport and coordinating joint promotion with the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Nguyễn Hiển Dĩnh Classical Drama Theatre, and Trưng Vương Theatre… is also an important direction to attract additional visitor sources.

With the number of international visitors to My Son increasing and the trend of combining cultural experiences with seaside resort holidays, many tourists choose to stay in Da Nang for convenient transfers between attractions. Coastal resorts, in particular, play the role of “stopover stations” that help visitors balance their heritage exploration journey with time for relaxation.

From My Son back to downtown Da Nang, the onward journey to the sea takes just over an hour by road. Thanks to this, visitors can easily combine a morning excursion to My Son valley with an afternoon of relaxation at Furama Resort Danang – a property with a tranquil location by My Khe Beach. The open space and characteristic Indochine architecture provide comfort after a long day trip, allowing guests to fully experience two contrasting facets of Central Vietnam: culture – heritage and sea – resort.

Da Nang is the first destination in Vietnam selected by Parata Air for operation.

The airline uses Airbus A330 aircraft (294 seats) with a steady frequency of 7 flights per week, increasing the total number of weekly flights on the Incheon – Da Nang route to 112, reaffirming the strong appeal of this market.

The welcoming ceremony for the inaugural flight took place at the international arrival hall of Da Nang International Airport, with the attendance of representatives from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Immigration Police – Da Nang International Airport Border Gate; the Customs Office; the Middle Airports Authority; Da Nang International Airport; Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company; and Parata Air.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Văn Bá Sơn – Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – stated that South Korea remains Da Nang’s largest international tourist market, with more than 1.8 million visitors in the first 10 months of 2025, accounting for nearly 29% of international arrivals. Mr. Jang Dongwon – Parata Air’s representative in Da Nang – expressed gratitude for the support of local authorities during the development of the new route. He shared that Parata Air has become the 11th Korean airline to operate flights to Da Nang and hopes that the route will further strengthen cooperation and exchange between the two countries.

Parata Air is a low-cost airline from South Korea, formerly known as Fly Gangwon, headquartered in Yangyang, Gangwon Province. The airline resumed operations at the end of 2025 after restructuring, rebranding, and investing in a new fleet of Airbus A320-200 and A330-200 aircraft. In November 2025, Parata Air plans to operate international flights from Seoul and Incheon to Vietnam and Japan (Tokyo, Osaka). Beachfront Villas for Families – A Perfect Recommendation from Furama Villas Danang

In recent years, the demand for private, safe, and well-equipped accommodations for family trips has grown significantly. Among these options, a beachfront villa for families has become a top choice, as it offers privacy, comfort, and a high-quality vacation experience. A beachfront villa for families not only provides a refreshing ocean view but also brings complete relaxation for guests of all ages.

Escape the noise and find your peace. Where blue ocean, golden sunshine, and a private pool await. Enjoy absolute relaxation!

In Danang, Furama Villas Danang stands out as one of the leading destinations for travelers seeking a premium, quiet, and fully equipped beachfront villa for families.

Why Are Beachfront Villas for Families the Ideal Choice?

Choosing a beachfront villa for families offers many advantages that regular hotels cannot provide. First, the proximity to the beach makes traveling much easier, especially when you’re accompanied by young children or the elderly. From a beachfront villa for families, you can reach the beach within minutes without needing any transportation.

Just a few steps to the sea. A beachfront villa is the perfect choice for a flawless family getaway.

Additionally, a beachfront villa provides a spacious, private, and peaceful environment—something families value greatly, especially those with children who need space to play without disturbing others as they might in a hotel. Moreover, staying together in a beachfront villa for families enhances bonding and creates meaningful memories throughout the trip.

Criteria for Choosing a Beachfront Villa for Families

When looking for a beachfront villa for families, consider the following factors to ensure the best experience:

First, the villa must truly be close to the beach. Many places advertise “near the beach,” but in reality, the distance is far, or access requires crossing a main road. A true beachfront villa for families is one where you can feel the ocean breeze at your doorstep and reach the beach within a few steps.

Second, amenities must be family-friendly. A beachfront villa for families should include multiple bedrooms, a private pool, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, and an open common area.

Third, the environment must be safe—especially for children. An ideal beachfront villa for families needs secure fencing, 24/7 security services, and a child-friendly design.

Lastly, service quality matters. Self-managed villas often lack amenities like breakfast, housekeeping, buggy transport, or a kids’ club. This is why beachfront villas at major resorts like Furama are highly rated—they offer the full comfort of a villa with the professional service standards of a 5-star resort.

Furama Villas Danang – The Ideal Beachfront Villa for Families in Danang

Furama Villas Danang is one of the top choices when searching for a beachfront villa for families. Located directly on My Khe Beach—one of Vietnam’s most beautiful beaches—Furama offers a truly authentic beachfront experience.

The villas at Furama feature luxurious designs with 2 to 4 bedrooms, private pools, lush gardens, spacious living rooms, and fully equipped kitchens. Each beachfront villa for families here reflects a delicate and warm Asian aesthetic while maintaining the elegance of a world-class resort brand.

A refined Asian touch blended with world-class amenities at Furama Villas Danang. Enjoy complete relaxation in a secluded living space.

Furthermore, Furama Villas Danang surpasses many other beachfront villas by offering full access to the resort’s facilities—including breakfast buffet, housekeeping, 24/7 security, buggy transport, spa, gym, and a dedicated kids’ club. This allows families to enjoy a seamless vacation without worrying about daily convenience or safety.

Benefits of Choosing a Beachfront Villa for Families Instead of a Hotel

A beachfront villa for families provides absolute privacy—something hotels cannot match. Instead of being separated into multiple rooms like in a hotel, families can share a large common living space ideal for gathering, chatting, and spending quality time together.

The option to cook in the villa also makes the trip more comfortable, especially for families with young children who may require flexible meal times. Meanwhile, adults can still swim, read, or relax by the private pool even when the kids are sleeping—without disturbing other guests, unlike in a hotel.

A lush green pathway leading to your family’s perfectly private sanctuary.

Another advantage is cost-effectiveness for large families. Instead of booking multiple hotel rooms, renting a beachfront villa for families is often more economical and convenient.

Tips for Booking a Beachfront Furama Villa for Families

To ensure a perfect vacation, you should book your beachfront villa for families at Furama early—especially during summer or holiday seasons. These are peak periods, and the most beautiful villas tend to get booked quickly.

Families should choose the right number of bedrooms: a 2-bedroom villa for smaller families, and a 3- or 4-bedroom villa for multigenerational trips. If you love ocean views, request a beachfront villa for the best access to the private beach.

Additionally, confirm details regarding housekeeping, breakfast, buggy service, and child policies to avoid any inconvenience.

A beachfront villa for families not only provides comfort and privacy but also ensures every member enjoys a relaxing, memorable vacation. With its prime location, luxurious amenities, and 5-star service, Furama Villas Danang is one of the best choices for family-friendly beachfront villas. It is a place where you can enjoy refreshing seaside moments, peaceful surroundings, and precious time with loved ones.
