An Thuong, Da Nang – A Tourist Quarter Entering a New Phase of Development
The An Thuong quarter, close to My An beach, has long been a familiar destination for international visitors, with many accommodations, eateries and entertainment venues. According to Bao Van Hoa and Bao Moi, Da Nang is studying adjustments to the investment plan for Phase 2 of the An Thuong Tourist Quarter to make it more practical. Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Nam Hung inspected the project in person and asked for a review of several items in order to use this tourist space more effectively.

Key points of the new direction:
- Removing the musical water floor feature as it is not suitable for the area
- Prioritizing greenery, public spaces and amenities that serve people on a regular basis
- Providing a public car park combined with a park
- Developing new products and activities to extend visitors’ length of stay
- Promoting the night-time economy in a way that is not noisy and not geared toward short-term exploitation
An Thuong is thus shifting from a spontaneously developed quarter into an organized urban tourism space that serves both residents and visitors. In this picture, the question “What to eat in An Thuong?” calls for venues with depth of experience, not just an ordinary meal.

Infrastructure makes the quarter easier to reach, dining brings the quarter to life, and the two reinforce each other.

Green vacation at Furama Resort & Villas Da Nang: Return to nature, enjoy the simple joys
Awakened by the morning light, walking under tropical canopies, feeling the sea breeze, and spending a day with loved ones. The allure of a back-to-basics retreat lies in these intimate experiences. At Furama Resort & Villas Da Nang, the green gardens and open sea become a space for the whole family to find relaxation, connect with nature, and enjoy the joy of being together.

Returning to Nature, Rediscovering the Joy of Days Together
In daily life, family time is sometimes divided into very short intervals: a meal after work, a call to grandparents, or a weekend outing with the kids. Therefore, a multi-generational vacation always carries a special meaning. It is an occasion for everyone to wake up in a new place, have a leisurely breakfast, and have the whole day ahead to spend with one another.
The desire to return to nature also starts from such simple needs. Hearing the waves, walking under the shade of trees, sitting outdoors to read a few pages, or letting children observe the world around them are the experiences that make a back-to-basics holiday so appealing. When these sensations have enough space to manifest, families easily find joy even in very ordinary things.
At Furama Resort & Villas Da Nang, the tropical garden and sea-facing spaces open up many ways to enjoy a day off. Children eagerly ask where the family will swim today. Parents can linger over breakfast, enjoying an extra cup of coffee. Grandparents spend time watching the sea or chatting in the shade. Different interests find their place in a shared journey, so every member feels cared for.
A Garden for the Whole Family to Explore
The green space at Furama is present throughout the stay experience. Along the garden paths, under the trees around the Lagoon, or in the open sky towards the sea, nature is always close enough for guests to feel through their footsteps, sight, and breath.
Morning is the perfect time for the family to take a stroll, when the sunlight is still soft and the new day has just begun. For children, a uniquely shaped leaf, the sound of birds in the garden, or patches of light filtering through the canopy can spark many questions. Walking with grandparents and parents, they have the chance to observe, listen, and explore with their curiosity.
During a break in the day, the garden becomes a place for reading or conversation. A chair in the shade, a few pages of a book left unfinished, and loved ones sitting nearby are enough to create a pleasant afternoon. These moments help the family enjoy the landscape with full presence, making the green space a part of the trip’s memories.
Three Pools, Three Vibes for a Family Vacation
One of the joys of a holiday at Furama is choosing between three distinct pool spaces: the Ocean Pool and Lagoon Pool at Furama Resort, and the Central Pool at Furama Villas. Each pool has its own character, from wide sea views to the tranquility of a tropical garden.
Ocean Pool – Wide Open Skies by the Sea
The Ocean Pool is for those who love the feeling of swimming with a sea view. The water, the sky, and the horizon together create an expansive vista, filling poolside time with the spirit of a coastal getaway.
Members who enjoy swimming can spend time in the water, while relatives relax by the pool and take in the view. This is also a suitable place for the family to capture a group photo: grandparents with grandchildren, parents standing together, with the blue of Da Nang’s sea in the background.

Lagoon Pool – Relaxing Amidst Tropical Greenery
Nestled in the tropical garden, the Lagoon Pool offers an experience rich in greenery. Surrounded by trees, with leaf shadows on the water and intimate landscaping, it creates an atmosphere perfect for those who love peace.
Parents can spend some relaxing time in the garden, while grandparents enjoy the scenery, resting and chatting by the pool. A book, a favorite drink, or a story continued from breakfast can fill that time.

Central Pool – A Meeting Point Amidst the Villas
At Furama Villas, the Central Pool is a meeting point outside the villa space, surrounded by tropical landscapes and villa architecture. Families can spend time swimming together, meeting up, and enjoying the outdoor air before returning to their accommodation.
An afternoon here can start with a simple plan: the family meets by the pool after a nap. Those who like activity get into the water, those who want to relax sit nearby, and then everyone returns to prepare for dinner.

* For young children, families should choose a suitable swimming area according to the instructions at each pool and always have direct adult supervision while in the water.
A Gift of Relaxation for Loved Ones
On a multi-generational trip, time for self-care is also a precious part. After busy days, parents can treat each other to a relaxing session at V-Senses Wellness & Spa. For adult children, arranging a spa experience for their parents is also a way to show care with a practical gift: time to rest and be pampered.
To ensure the experience suits each individual, families can discuss needs, preferences, and health conditions with the spa team before choosing a service. This consultation helps each member find their own comfortable way to relax.
Guests staying under eligible promotional packages can enjoy a 20% discount on spa services at V-Senses Wellness & Spa. Benefits and the scope of applicable services are confirmed according to the booking program at the time of stay.
A dedicated time for parents or grandparents also enriches the family’s story. When returning together at the end of the day, everyone has a new feeling to share, from an exciting swim to pleasant moments of rest.

From Furama’s Garden to Stories in Hoi An
After a day of enjoying the sea, pools, and gardens, the family can spend another day exploring Hoi An. The streets, tiled roofs, and ancient houses open up stories about local life, culture, and cuisine, adding experiences outside the resort grounds to the vacation.
Traveling with multiple generations, Hoi An can be explored with a moderate itinerary. The family chooses a few spots to visit, stopping for a meal or a rest when needed. Children observe new things, grandparents share memories evoked by a house or a familiar dish, and parents capture moments of the whole family walking through the ancient town.
For stay packages with included benefits, a free round-trip Hoi An shuttle makes transportation arrangements more convenient. Families should register in advance with the reception desk to confirm departure times, pick-up/drop-off points, and applicable conditions according to the booking package.

Discovering the Story Behind the Meal
Meals are a familiar family rendezvous every holiday. At Furama, that story can also begin from the garden and the ingredients, through the Furama Food Farm model and the culinary experience at Tàya House. Furama has introduced the use of farm-to-table ingredients for cooking classes here.
For children, exploring ingredients is a chance to learn more about the dishes often seen on the table. What is the name of a certain vegetable, how are aromatic leaves used, why do different ingredients create unique flavors—small questions can lead to an exciting learning experience.
When cooking classes are held during the stay, families can register to participate according to the schedule and instructions of the team in charge. Tàya House once introduced vegetarian cooking classes as a family bonding experience; specific programs need to be confirmed before booking.
Observing the chef together, learning how to combine ingredients, and enjoying the results adds meaning to the meal. Grandparents can talk about how to cook a familiar dish at home, parents try a new flavor, and children excitedly share what they just learned. These stories continue the spirit of a green holiday with appreciation for the food and the effort that goes into every dish.

A Balanced Journey for Everyone to Enjoy
A multi-generational vacation becomes pleasant when the itinerary has enough space for each person’s needs. The first day can be spent getting acquainted with the space: the whole family has a leisurely breakfast, walks in the garden, and chooses their favorite pool. After lunch is rest time; the afternoon is for the spa, reading, or a seaside rendezvous.
Another day can be dedicated to exploring Hoi An, with the remaining time spent resting at the resort. Cooking experiences, if scheduled appropriately, are arranged in a separate slot so everyone can participate in a relaxed mood.
During that journey, each member can also enjoy their own interests. Some may want to swim a few more laps, some want to continue reading, and some just like sitting and chatting in the garden. Shared meet-ups—breakfast, walks, or dinner—keep the family close while allowing each person time to rest in their own preferred way.
By the end of the day, the dining table becomes the place where individual experiences meet. Children talk about what they just discovered, grandparents mention a beautiful sight, and parents share their relaxing session. It is these listened-to stories that create the feeling of togetherness.
Bringing a Beautiful Habit Home
A holiday amidst nature is also an occasion for the family to practice small habits: keeping paths and beaches clean, respecting greenery, disposing of trash properly, and taking just enough food for each meal.

For children, the actions of adults are the most intimate form of guidance. When parents remind children to protect a flower bed or grandparents help grandchildren choose a sufficient portion, caring for the environment becomes a natural part of the trip. These habits can continue to follow the family home, manifesting in daily meals and activities.
Ultimately, what is remembered most about a holiday might be the morning the whole family walked under the canopy, the photo by the pool, or the dinner where grandparents and grandchildren laughed over a story. At Furama Resort & Villas Da Nang, the tropical garden, blue sea, and diverse experiences create a space for those moments to be extended.
A green holiday is therefore also a promise for the family: to return to nature together, take time to care for one another, and enjoy simple joys with the people they love.
Tech-based tourism to shape future growth

The beach city of Đà Nẵng has successfully organised HORECFEX Việt Nam, a technology and innovation forum for the hotel and tourism sectors, for three consecutive years. Nguyễn Đức Quỳnh, chairman and founder of HORECFEX Việt Nam, tells Việt Nam News about the event.
What impact has HORECFEX Việt Nam had in Đà Nẵng?
The most significant impact of HORECFEX Việt Nam is its role as a platform connecting the tourism-hospitality industry with technology, knowledge, innovation and the supply chain.
We did not set up HORECFEX as a technology event, but it was formed around four key terms: Knowledge, Technology, Supply and Connections.
HORECFEX is not just an exhibition of robots, AI, software or new equipment, but visiting businesses can explore management, operations, human resources, sustainable development, F&B, wellness, hotel investment strategies, destination brand development or adaptation to market changes.
HORECFEX also creates a rendezvous for stakeholders operating in different sectors of tourism businesses, hotels, suppliers, technology companies, universities, experts, professional associations and regulatory bodies.
However, the forum is just in its initial stage, and it will turn ideas at HORECFEX into practical projects in future editions.

What about investment in technology among travel businesses in Việt Nam?
Hospitality businesses have been speeding up technology applications, but investment has yet to be comprehensive.
Big companies have made considerable progress in terms of technology adoption in serving international clients, including Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), electronic payments, digital marketing, social media, chatbots, data analytics, dynamic pricing and AI.
Meanwhile, many small and medium-sized-enterprises (SMEs) still rely on existing applications such as websites, Facebook, TikTok, Zalo or basic sales and management software in their operations.
They face challenges in digital transformation in building customer data, sales, marketing, operations, finance and management systems for decision-making. However, true digital transformation only happens when a business makes decisions based on data and technology.
The biggest gap today is the difference between buying technology and using technology effectively among businesses, and HORECFEX aims to deal with it.

Are travel businesses in Đà Nẵng going digital?
Đà Nẵng’s tourism industry has been promoting the AI Chatbot Danang Fantasticity to support tourists with information and consultations; the Đà Nẵng Digital Tourism Map, VR360, digital mapping and destination database systems.
The technological tools help integrate the traveller’s entire journey – before, during and after the trip to Đà Nẵng and central Việt Nam.
The AI Museum Assistant by the AIAIVN company has been used to support tourists in exploring information and enhancing their experiences at destinations and museums.
Another solution, iConcierge, developed within the HORECFEX ecosystem in partnership with AnhTris Holdings, has been deployed at Furama Resort Danang and Furama Villas Danang – a beachfront tourism complex – and expanding its connection to Hội An ancient town.
The remarkable feature of iConcierge is that it serves as a digital assistant that helps tourists connect with everything from accommodation services to transport, dining, sightseeing, culture and local experiences.
The digital solution marks a shift in travel technology from “information” to “assistance”, and advances toward “personalisation”. It provides data to offer AI-powered support and, finally, personalises the itinerary for each traveller.
In the future, a MICE traveller, a family with young children, a golfer or a tourist interested in culinary arts, heritage and craft villages will not necessarily receive the same content. AI can understand each person’s needs, travel schedule, preferences and context to propose a more tailored itinerary.

Technology can serve as a “digital thread” connecting the tourism ecosystem from Đà Nẵng to Hội An and other destinations, craft villages, communities and mountainous areas. It will ease pressure on traditional destinations, while offering more options and tourism experiences for tourists and benefits for local communities.
What are the biggest challenges with technology investment in tourism?

First is the investment cost and the return on investment (ROI) equation. Technology changes very rapidly, while businesses, especially SMEs, always consider their investment budget and return on investment.
Second is system fragmentation. A hotel might use a Property Management System (PMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Point of Sale (POS), channel managers, revenue management, accounting and loyalty systems. However, if these systems do not communicate smoothly with each other, the business can end up with a bulk of data but lack data-based analysis for decision-making.
Third is people. Digital transformation is not a project exclusive to the IT department; it requires changing the mindset and workflow of the entire organisation.
Fourth is data security and privacy. As businesses leverage AI to personalise customer experiences, their responsibility to protect customer data becomes significantly greater.
And finally, the pace of change. Today’s cutting-edge technology can become outdated in just a few years, so businesses should not try to keep up with rapidly changing technologies all the time. Travel businesses need to review how technology supports them and whether it will create more revenue or reduce costs. They also need to consider whether their staff are ready to use technology.

Can you suggest ideas on tech-based sustainable tourism development?
We need to shift our mindset from “applying technology to tourism” to “building a data-driven tourism ecosystem”. A destination needs to understand where visitors are coming from, what they are searching for, how they spend money, how they move around and what satisfies them or causes them difficulties. Management of data can help businesses recognise tourist flows before designing products and market them more accurately.
AI and personalisation technology can help build a unique Đà Nẵng for each specific target group: families with young children, MICE travellers, golfers, wellness tourists, gastronomes, heritage and craft tourists and those interested in community-based tourism.
Data can help reduce the pressure of mass tourism, while improving the management of energy, water and waste. It can guide visitors to local communities, craft villages, regional products and new destinations.
Digital transformation will help create better experiences for tourists, higher productivity for businesses, better incomes for workers and more sustainable value for local communities.
It’s also the spirit that HORECFEX has been pursuing since it debuted in Đà Nẵng in 2024 by boosting connections between knowledge, technology, supply and people to enhance the competitive advantage of Vietnamese tourism. — VNS
WHEN HERITAGE AND TECHNOLOGY COME TOGETHER TO CREATE A TIMELESS RESORT
Rather than trying to make a nearly 30-year-old resort look like a newly built hotel, Furama Resort Danang has chosen a different path: preserving the architecture, landscape, and memories that have shaped its identity, while continuously investing in the latest technologies, equipment, and operational practices where they can directly enhance the guest experience.

There is a comment sometimes made about Furama Resort Danang:
“Furama is not modern.”
If “modern” means a hotel defined by expansive glass façades, minimalist lines, polished stone lobbies, or an architectural style that has only emerged in recent years, then there is some truth to that observation.
And Furama has no intention of becoming that.
Furama Resort Danang was established in 1997. Nearly three decades have transformed young trees into mature tropical gardens, turned Champa- and Indochine-inspired architecture into part of the memories of generations of travellers, and made the resort one of the enduring landmarks of Danang’s early development as an international resort destination.
Some things become more worth preserving with age.
But there are also things that must continually be renewed and invested in.
This is how Furama approaches the relationship between Heritage and Innovation.
Preserving the soul of the past, while continuously renewing what needs to move forward
A heritage resort does not necessarily need to reinvent itself as an entirely new building after every renovation cycle.
What matters more is understanding:
What should be preserved?
What should be replaced?
And what should continuously evolve?
Furama preserves its architecture, gardens, Lagoon Pool, tropical surroundings, elements of Champa culture, Indochine spirit, and the distinctive sense of resort living that has become part of its identity.
Yet behind this deliberately timeless appearance, its operational systems, technology, equipment, and guest-service tools are continually upgraded.
It can be summed up in one philosophy:
Timeless outside. Future-ready inside.
Timeless values preserved on the outside.
Always ready for the future on the inside.

V-Senses Fitness: Modern fitness technology within a heritage resort
One clear example of this philosophy is V-Senses Fitness.
Guests may look at Furama’s tiled roofs, mature trees, and architecture and immediately sense the history of a resort that has been here for nearly 30 years. Yet the experience should feel entirely different when they step into its fitness space.
Furama continuously invests in, replaces, and upgrades its health and fitness equipment. V-Senses Fitness is equipped with Technogym – the Italian fitness and wellness brand widely present across the international hospitality, sports, and wellness sectors.
Furama’s website currently describes V-Senses Fitness as a “state-of-the-art fitness centre”, integrated into an ecosystem that combines fitness, swimming pools, the beach, tennis, yoga, and wellness.
The relationship between Furama and Technogym extends beyond the purchase of equipment. The two parties have signed an MOU aimed at developing fitness and wellness experiences to new standards, bringing fitness technology into a broader ecosystem of holistic well-being.

This also aligns with the development direction of V-Senses Wellness & Spa: rather than viewing wellness simply as spa treatments or massage, it is expanded into a journey connecting body – mind – spirit through movement, yoga, meditation, nutrition, therapy, and nature.
In 2026, V-Senses continued to celebrate Global Wellness Day at Furama, with activities centred around movement, breathwork, sound, and connection.
In this sense, Technogym equipment is not simply a piece of “modern” technology placed in the resort for display.
It is part of a broader transformation: from Fitness to Wellness, from exercise to lifestyle, and from a gym to an integrated wellness ecosystem.
A nearly 30-year-old resort operating on the Cloud
A less visible, yet perhaps even more important, aspect of modernisation takes place behind the reception desk.
Furama Resort Danang has pioneered the transition of its hotel management system to Oracle Hospitality Cloud, transforming the way data and operational activities are managed.
What matters about the Cloud is not whether guests can see the technology.
Guests do not need to know which PMS operates behind the reception desk.
What they care about is:
Is check-in faster?
Is information more accurate?
Do employees understand their needs better?
Do departments coordinate more effectively?
And is the experience more personalised?
That is the real value of digital transformation.
Oracle describes OPERA Cloud as a cloud-based, mobile-enabled hotel management platform with support for open APIs, designed to connect data, support personalised guest experiences, improve operational efficiency, and enable integration with new applications.
For Furama, technology is not the goal.
Technology is the infrastructure that enables better service.
When robots enter a heritage-style resort
In recent years, an image that may initially seem contradictory has appeared at Furama – Ariyana:
robots operating within a resort rich in traditional architectural elements.

But that is exactly the image Furama seeks to create.
The intelligent robot Mars – Ms. Ariyana has been put into operation to support guest reception, provide directions and information, and transport items across hotel and event operations. Sources from Furama and Da Nang Newspaper have both documented the robot’s transition from a technology showcase into practical use.
By 2026, Furama continued to experiment with and apply AI in music, imagery, and personalised welcome content for guests.
But Furama does not introduce robots to replace the smile of a receptionist.
This is an important principle.
Hospitality, ultimately, is still about human connection.
Machines should take on repetitive tasks, transportation, information retrieval, and faster data processing, giving people more time to focus on what machines find difficult to replace:
observing, listening, understanding, and caring.
Furama’s leadership has also emphasised that AI, robots, and modern management tools are deployed to improve operational efficiency, optimise costs, and enhance the guest experience. Appropriate technology does not diminish the role of people; instead, it frees up time for work that requires sensitivity, judgement, and direct human interaction.
iConcierge – technology does not always need to be seen
The next step is to bring technology closer to the guest journey itself.
Furama has developed digital solutions such as iConcierge/AI Concierge, helping guests access information and services directly from their own devices.
Instead of having to install a complex application, guests can scan a QR code in their room to access a web app, search for information, receive destination assistance, and explore services relevant to their journey.
The AI Concierge model is being developed to provide 24/7 support, particularly for independent travellers who prefer greater control over their itineraries.
What is interesting here is that:
the best technology is sometimes the technology guests barely notice.
It is not about adding more screens throughout a resort.
It is not about turning the lobby into a technology showroom.
It is about making information appear faster when guests need it; making services easier to access; and enabling the system to help employees understand guests better when special needs arise.
No “technology for technology’s sake”
This philosophy also helps explain why Furama – Ariyana became the birthplace and host of HORECFEX Vietnam, a forum focused on technology, innovation, and supply-chain solutions for the hospitality industry.

Successive editions of HORECFEX have brought technologies such as AI, PMS Cloud, reception robots, F&B robots, smart glasses, VR/AR, and a wide range of operational solutions closer to hospitality businesses. Oracle and Technogym have both played active roles within the event ecosystem, with Technogym serving as a co-host of HORECFEX 2024.
But the question Furama asks is not:
“What is the newest technology?”
Instead, it asks:
“Which technology can genuinely help us serve our guests better?”
That is an important distinction.
Because innovation is not about chasing every trend.
Innovation is about choosing the right tools to solve real problems.
Heritage does not mean outdated
Perhaps, then, it is worth reconsidering the question of whether Furama Resort Danang is “modern”.
If judged by the age of its buildings, its architectural style, or the appearance of a resort that has stood here since 1997, Furama is certainly not a “new hotel”.
But new and modern are not always the same thing.
A newly built hotel may have very contemporary architecture, yet its management systems may not necessarily be advanced.
Conversely, a resort with nearly three decades of history can operate on the Cloud, use AI, robots, digital concierge solutions, and next-generation fitness equipment.
That is the choice Furama has made.
Not to erase history simply to look newer.
Not to turn a tropical resort into a technology hotel.
Not to let technology overshadow hospitality.
Instead:
preserve what creates memories,
replace what affects quality,
and continually invest in what helps us serve guests better.
HERITAGE IN CHARACTER. INNOVATION IN EXPERIENCE.
After nearly 30 years, Furama Resort Danang possesses something that a newly built resort cannot simply buy:
time.
Time creates mature gardens.
Time creates memories.
Time shapes a culture of service.
Time creates a Hospitality Legacy.
But Furama also understands that heritage only has value when it continues to live in the present.
That is why, behind the tiled roofs, mature trees, and spaces shaped by Champa and Indochine influences, there are Technogym, Oracle Cloud, AI, robots, iConcierge, and technologies that have yet to emerge today.
These are not two different Furamas.
They are one Furama:
Heritage in Character. Innovation in Experience.
Heritage in identity. Innovation in experience.
And perhaps that is the most fitting definition of a timeless resort:
It does not need to look as though it was built yesterday.
But every day, it must find a new way to serve guests better than yesterday.

Furama Resort Da Nang: When kids’ vacations are also an adventure to explore
Amidst the tropical gardens, the beach, and trees that have matured over nearly three decades, Furama Resort Danang holds a world for children that perhaps not every traveler knows about. There, children don’t just play; they explore nature, meet animals, create art, learn to cook, get acquainted with the sea, and step-by-step form essential life skills. That is how Furama views a family vacation:
children also need a journey of their own.
When choosing a family resort, adults often focus on rooms, restaurants, swimming pools, spas, or the beach.
But for a child, holiday memories are completely different.
It might be the first time making a pizza by hand.
A morning feeding rabbits.
Chasing peacocks in the garden.
A bag painted by their own hands.
The first time learning how to float on water.
Or simply an afternoon running barefoot on the sand and playing until they forget where their phone or iPad is.
Furama wants to preserve those kinds of memories.
Not Just a Kids Club – But a World for Children to Explore
Furama Resort Danang has an advantage that is not easily created by a new construction project:
a mature resort ecosystem.
The sea is in front.
Tropical gardens surround it.
Swimming pools, lawns, greenery, sports areas, restaurants, a farm, and living spaces are all within the same complex.
Therefore, the experience for children does not necessarily have to be limited within the four walls of a Kids Club.
The entire resort can become a vast classroom.
That is also how Furama develops family activities: Play – Learn – Create – Explore.
Play to develop physically.
Learn through experience.
Create with your hands.
And explore the natural world around you.
A Playground Right on the Beach
The beach in front of Furama is not just for adults to relax under umbrellas.
It is also a massive natural playground for children.
Furama developed the outdoor play area on the beach to be environmentally friendly, with small houses, swings, suspension bridges, seesaws, and slides… using a combination of wood and safe materials.
Beside that are spaces for children to be active with football, volleyball, and sand games.
The importance does not lie in the quantity of equipment.
What is valuable is that children get to be outdoors.
To touch the sand.
To run.
To climb.
To play with other children.
And to feel the sea with their whole body instead of looking at it through a glass window.
Furama currently maintains many sea sports activities such as sailing, surfing, and other physical activities; some kayak programs are designed to be beginner-friendly and suitable for both adults and children. (Furama Vietnam)
Furama Food Farm – A Classroom Without Blackboards
Leaving the beach, children can step into a completely different world.
Just a short walk from the main resort area is Furama Food Farm, a farm spanning nearly 2 hectares.
There are vegetable patches.
There are fish.
There are chickens and familiar pets.
And more importantly, children have the opportunity to understand that the food on the dining table does not start at the supermarket.
According to Furama’s official introduction, the farm raises chickens and fish and grows dozens of types of vegetables to provide food for the restaurants and staff canteen. This area is also part of the resort experience tour and has welcomed preschools for visits and learning. (Furama Vietnam)
A child can see how vegetables are grown.
They can learn how animals are cared for.
They can begin to understand the relationship between soil – water – plants – animals – food – humans.
That is sustainability explained in a way that children can see and touch.
No need for a long lecture.
Just a morning at the farm.

The Peacocks – Furama’s Special “Little Friends”
But perhaps the residents most loved by children at Furama are the peacocks.
Over many years, the flock of peacocks cared for and domesticated within the resort grounds has grown to nearly 40 individuals, often appearing in the gardens and the V-Senses Café area.
For adults, a peacock walking slowly through the garden might be a beautiful image.
For a child, it is a whole event.

Such encounters help Furama’s garden become vibrant.
There, nature is not just landscaping to be looked at.
Nature is a part of the experience.
Freeda Club – Where Hands Begin to Create
If the beach is for physical activity and the Food Farm is for exploring nature, Freeda Club is for the imagination.
Located right within the resort grounds, Freeda is built as a space where children can read books, draw, color, and participate in craft activities.
They can decorate their own bags.
Paint on conical hats.
Color.
Make small products with their own hands.
The interesting thing is that at the end of the holiday, the gift they take home doesn’t necessarily have to be something parents bought in the gift shop.
It could be the bag they painted themselves.
An imperfect product.
But one that belongs entirely to their memories.
Amidst the tropical garden, there is also a ball pit area, a play space especially loved by young children that also gives families more options besides the beach and pool.
When the Kitchen Becomes a Classroom
One of the most interesting ways for children to explore culture is through food.
Therefore, Furama organizes cooking class activities for children, in which pizza-making classes often generate special excitement.
Children get to touch the dough.
Shape it themselves.
Choose toppings.
Observe the food change during the baking process.
And finally, eat the pizza they made themselves.

Behind a seemingly simple activity are many small lessons:
patience,
the ability to follow a sequence,
creativity,
recognizing ingredients,
and the joy of completing a product by oneself.
Furama has a history of organizing cooking classes as part of the resort experience; previous programs also introduced participants to ingredients, vegetables, and herbs that Danang people use in their daily meals. (Furama Vietnam)
That is also a direction Furama can continue to develop: Food Farm → Cooking Class → Dining Table.
Children see where the food is grown.
Prepare it with their own hands.
Then enjoy the fruits of their labor.
A complete cycle of experience.
Learning About the Sea Not Just for Fun – But for Safety
A family beach resort also has another responsibility:
helping children love the sea but simultaneously understand and respect it.
Programs like Swim to Survive, activities guiding swimming skills, water safety, and beach sports classes have a greater meaning than a regular recreation activity.
Furama once organized the Nipper training program on swimming, rescue, and water safety skills; the resort’s beach area also has a professional rescue team on duty and a flag system guiding safe swimming areas. (Furama Vietnam)
From swimming to surfing, SUP, or kayaking, children can step-by-step get acquainted with the ocean according to their age and appropriate ability.
A child might forget which room number they stayed in.
But they will likely remember for a very long time:
“I learned to swim at Furama.”
Or:
“That was where I stood on my first board.”
Family Edutainment – When Play and Education Don’t Need to Be Separate
From existing experiences, Furama can completely shape a clearer concept:
FURAMA FAMILY EDUTAINMENT
Play. Learn. Create. Explore.
It’s not about turning a vacation into a course.
Nor is it about forcing children to participate in a packed schedule.
On the contrary, education during a vacation should happen very naturally.
At the Food Farm, children understand nature and food.
In the garden, children meet peacocks and observe the animal world.
At Freeda Club, children read and create.
In the cooking class, children learn with their hands.
At the playground, children move and communicate.
On the beach, children learn about the ocean and safety skills.
Through sports activities, children build confidence.
Each individual activity might be small.
But when connecting them, Furama can create a development journey dedicated to children throughout the holiday.
A Vacation for the Whole Family – Not Just for Adults with Children
This is perhaps the most important difference in the perspective of a family resort.
A hotel can claim to be “family-friendly” because it has connecting rooms, a children’s menu, and a Kids Club.
But a family destination needs more than that.
Children must have a reason to be excited to wake up in the morning.
Parents must feel their children are playing in a safe and beneficial environment.
And the whole family must have experiences they can do together.
That is why Furama should not communicate each children’s facility in a fragmented way.
The Food Farm, the peacock flock, Freeda Club, beach playground, cooking class, swimming, surfing, SUP, kayaking, art activities, and seasonal programs are actually telling a larger story together:
Furama is a place where children don’t just come to stay with their parents.
They have a vacation of their own.
WHERE LITTLE MOMENTS BECOME LIFELONG MEMORIES
After nearly three decades, Furama has many guests who have returned.
There are those who first came to Furama as children and returned years later with their own children.
What a resort like Furama can give to the next generation is therefore not necessarily bigger games or more modern screens.
Sometimes it is just very real experiences:
barefoot on the sand,
a peacock in the garden,
the smell of earth at the Food Farm,
a hand-painted bag,
the first self-made pizza,
or the first time knowing they can float on water.
Those small moments are how a vacation becomes a childhood memory.

Destination weddings in Da Nang: Spaces for Indian couples
An Indian destination wedding is often remembered as a journey where family and friends spend many days together. From the first meeting and the signature rituals of both families to the final party night, every moment requires a suitable space and thoughtful preparation.
Da Nang offers many options for that journey: beaches for outdoor ceremonies, gardens for intimate gatherings, and grand ballrooms for hundreds of guests to celebrate together. Among the wedding venues in the city, Furama Resort Danang stands out for its ability to connect the wedding ceremony, accommodation, dining, and vacation within the same Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex. Furama Resort Danang

Furama Resort Danang – Where every part of the wedding has its own space
What makes a multi-day wedding memorable is the feeling that each activity has its own personality, yet still belongs to the same story. At Furama Resort Danang, couples can start with a welcome reception in the tropical garden, spend an afternoon by the sea for the main ceremony, and then step into an indoor banquet space as night falls.
The sand, coconut trees, and the sound of waves create a natural backdrop for a seaside ceremony. For couples who prefer more privacy, the garden offers a soft and intimate atmosphere. The resort also features indoor banquet spaces, allowing decoration ideas to continue evolving as the event transitions from the ceremony to the evening party. Furama Resort Danang
For Indian weddings, this flexibility is particularly meaningful. A colorful Haldi, a Sangeet night filled with music and family performances, or a wedding ceremony under a mandap all require different considerations regarding space, timing, decoration, and operation. These are ideas that couples can discuss with the event team to build a schedule that fits their traditions and family wishes. The Furama – Ariyana complex offers both outdoor beachfront spaces and grand ballrooms for multi-activity Indian wedding programs. Ariyana Convention Centre

From intimate ceremonies to large-scale gala dinners
As the number of guests increases, transitioning between venues becomes a crucial part of the plan. In addition to the spaces at the resort, the complex also includes the Furama International Convention Palace and the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang with a system of grand ballrooms, functional rooms, and outdoor areas. Ariyana announces a total capacity of up to 2,500 people, providing more options for large-scale gala nights, stage performances, and receptions for many guests. The specific scale of each party needs to be confirmed according to the layout and organizational requirements. furamavietnam.com
Thanks to the spaces being located within the same complex, a wedding journey can change its rhythm day by day: a gentle welcome party, a seaside ceremony, and then a brilliant gala night. Guests experience different settings without having to spend most of their time traveling between venues. Ariyana Convention Centre

When guests also have a memorable vacation
A well-prepared destination wedding needs to care for the guest experience throughout the trip. Furama Resort Danang offers a system of rooms and suites; Furama Villas Danang provides villas ranging from one to four bedrooms, featuring private pools and common living spaces. These are various accommodation options for relatives, groups of friends, or multi-generational families coming to Da Nang for the wedding. furamavietnam.com
Outside of event hours, guests can spend time by the beach, dine with family, or explore Central Vietnam. When everyone has the chance to rest and enjoy the destination, the wedding is no longer confined to a single evening; it becomes a trip that generations of the family can reminisce about for years to come.

Indian cuisine in a Vietnamese seaside journey
Cuisine is one of the decisions that needs to be discussed early when organizing an Indian wedding. Each family may have regional preferences, vegetarian requirements, or dietary principles that must be respected. The Furama – Ariyana complex showcases its ability to serve Indian cuisine along with specialized dietary requests; specific menus and service procedures should be agreed upon directly with the organizing team for each event. Ariyana Convention Centre
Alongside familiar flavors, couples can also consider introducing Vietnamese and Central Vietnamese cuisine in a suitable banquet. It is a way for guests to feel the place they have visited, while the spirit and tradition of the wedding are still preserved.

Other beachfront wedding venues in Da Nang
Every couple will have their own vision for their wedding day. Besides Furama Resort Danang, the city also has other resorts with different spatial styles for reference:
- Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa offers options for organizing at the beach, the garden, and the Regency Ballroom. This is an option for couples who want to combine an outdoor ceremony with an indoor banquet at a beachfront resort. Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa
- InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is located on the Son Tra Peninsula, with wedding spaces at the beach, garden, and banquet rooms. The bay scenery and unique terrain are suitable for couples seeking a wedding journey focused on privacy. InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort
- Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa features outdoor beachfront spaces and a Grand Ballroom for large guest lists. Couples can consider this venue if they want to focus on a grand gala night in a ballroom. marriott.com
Choosing a venue for the entire journey, not just the ceremony
When choosing a destination wedding venue in Da Nang, Indian couples should envision the entire time guests are present: who will stay where, what space each ritual requires, how the menu is built, and what everyone will do between events.
If you wish to combine a seaside wedding, various banquet styles, accommodation in resorts and villas, along with the ability to expand to large-scale ballrooms, Furama Resort Danang and the Furama – Ariyana Complex is a starting point worth considering. From the first meeting to the final goodbye, the most beautiful thing is not just a snapshot of the wedding day, but the time family and friends truly spent together.

Furama Resort & Villas Da Nang – A seaside MICE destination for Indian businesses
A successful MICE trip is not only remembered for the content on stage or the hours spent in meeting halls. It is also about the conversations continued around the banquet table, the joy of a team conquering a goal together, and experiences that bring members closer.
For businesses and event organizers from India, the Furama – Ariyana International Tourism Complex offers such a journey. Located on the coast of Da Nang, the complex combines conference space, accommodation, dining, and leisure, ensuring each program achieves its business goals while leaving a unique impression on attendees.

When the Destination Becomes Part of the Program
The morning begins with a strategic session. After the break, delegates step out into the lush green garden, feeling the sea breeze before returning for the next discussion. By evening, the group meets at a party, where business exchanges give way to more natural connections.
This seamless transition creates the appeal of an event at the resort. In addition to time dedicated to the main content, attendees have more opportunities to meet partners, chat with colleagues, and see their team in a new context.
Spaces Tailored to Every Scale
Every MICE program requires a different layout. Leadership meetings emphasize privacy and focus; product launches need a stage capable of making an impression; annual conferences require coordination between plenary sessions, breakout meetings, and gala nights.
Furama Resort Da Nang features a system of meeting rooms and banquet spaces catering to various organizational formats. Within the same complex, the Ariyana Convention Centre Da Nang adds grand ballrooms, foyer areas, and functional rooms for conferences, exhibitions, or large-scale events. Outdoor spaces by the sea and amidst tropical landscapes offer additional options for welcome parties, bonding activities, or recognition evenings.
From the first moment of welcoming guests to the final session, organizers can build a seamless program while giving each activity its own unique character.
Flexible Accommodation for Guest Groups
During a multi-day journey, the accommodation experience directly affects the delegates’ perception. The system of rooms and suites at Furama Resort Da Nang allows guests to conveniently participate in resort activities while having time to rest between event schedules.
For guests desiring more space and privacy, Furama Villas Da Nang offers villas ranging from one to four bedrooms, featuring private pools and spacious living areas. This is a noteworthy option for leadership teams, key partners, or incentive program attendees.
The combination of resort and villas allows businesses to arrange accommodation according to the needs of each guest group, while everyone still shares a single journey in Da Nang.
Cuisine Connecting Two Cultures
For Indian MICE groups, cuisine is not merely an item on the schedule. A suitable meal helps guests feel understood; a meticulously prepared menu can become the highlight of the entire party.
At Furama, Indian cuisine is present alongside Vietnamese and international options. Depending on the nature of the program, organizers can discuss menus in advance for welcome parties, conference meals, or gala dinners, as well as share the group’s dietary needs so the team can provide appropriate solutions.
It is also an opportunity to introduce Central Vietnamese flavors to Indian friends: familiar enough for guests to fully enjoy the meal, and novel enough to add a memorable story to the journey.
Lasting Value After the Event
Once the main program concludes, Da Nang still has much for the group to explore. An afternoon by the sea, relaxation time at the resort, or a trip to discover Central Vietnam’s heritage can become meaningful rewards after days of focused work.
For businesses, it is an opportunity to recognize team contributions and nurture relationships beyond the meeting room. For attendees, it is the feeling of having truly visited a new destination, rather than just traveling far to attend another event.
A memorable MICE journey is made of many details: goal-oriented event spaces, suitable accommodation, thoughtful meals, and time for people to connect. At Furama Resort Da Nang and Furama Villas Da Nang, these elements meet by the shore, opening up a destination for conferences, incentive trips, and important milestones for Indian businesses.

Top 3 Things to Consider When Choosing a Wedding Venue in Da Nang
Every couple has their own vision for their wedding day, from a ceremony by the sea, a lush green garden to a private villa space or a formal ballroom. Therefore, when looking for a wedding venue in Da Nang, a beautiful space is just one of the factors to consider. The experience for the bride, groom, and guests, along with the ability to realize unique ideas, also contributes to a perfect wedding day. Below are 3 things you should consider before choosing a venue for your special day.
Choosing a space that fits your wedding style
Beach, garden, villa, or ballroom?
Every wedding starts with a different vision of space. Some couples love the romance of a wedding by the Da Nang sea, others want a lush green garden for an outdoor ceremony, a private villa for intimate moments, or a formal ballroom for a large-scale party. Therefore, when searching for a wedding venue in Da Nang, the diversity of spaces is one of the factors worth considering so that the wedding day can fit the style and scale you desire.

Diverse spaces to realize your ideas
A wedding venue with many space options will provide more possibilities to realize each couple’s ideas. From an outdoor anniversary to an intimate wedding or a large-scale reception, the right space will help the organization be adjusted according to the number of guests, wedding style, and the experiences you want for your guests.
Flexibility between indoor and outdoor spaces also allows the wedding day to have many different nuances. The ceremony can take place amidst nature, then move to a formal banquet space; or the entire program can be held in the same space to create a sense of continuity. With many space options, couples also have more freedom to turn their own ideas into a wedding day that bears their personal mark.

Choosing a place that brings a memorable experience for the bride, groom, and guests
A suitable wedding venue is not only seen from the perspective of beautiful space or decoration. The experience of the bride, groom, and guests throughout the party is also a factor worth considering. From the food and service to the convenience during the organization process, every factor contributes to the overall feeling of the wedding day.
Cuisine contributes to a complete wedding
Cuisine is always an important part of every wedding. A well-constructed menu not only meets the guests’ tastes but also contributes to the atmosphere and unique mark of the party. From familiar dishes with a sophisticated twist to menus designed according to the style of the party, diversity in choices also helps the bride and groom easily find a menu suitable for the scale and form of organization.
Besides the food, drinks and service throughout the party also affect the guest experience. A party cared for from the menu and drinks to the way dishes are served will help conversations at the table happen naturally, so guests can comfortably enjoy time with the bride, groom, and loved ones.
Attentive service in every moment
Behind a smoothly running party is the coordination of many stages in the preparation and organization process. From planning, space arrangement, and party preparation to support on the wedding day, the smooth coordination between the organizing team and the bride and groom helps every part of the work be prepared more meticulously.
Especially, support for the bride and groom on the wedding day is also something to consider when choosing a venue. When there is a team accompanying and promptly supporting arising issues, you can spend more time enjoying every moment with family and friends, instead of worrying about the work behind the party.

A memorable wedding day is not just for the bride and groom
On the wedding day, guests are also the ones who contribute to the atmosphere and emotions of the party. Therefore, when choosing a wedding venue in Da Nang, the guest experience should also be placed in the consideration criteria from the beginning.
A comfortable space, convenient location, suitable cuisine, and a well-cared-for atmosphere will help guests easily immerse themselves in the party. More importantly, it is a place where everyone can meet, talk, and share meaningful moments with the bride and groom.
A beautiful wedding, therefore, lies not only in what happens on stage but also in the experiences created throughout the party — from the moment guests enter the space, enjoy the food, raise a toast, to the conversations and moments preserved together.
Choosing a place with details that create a personal mark
From flowers and decor to the banquet table
Flowers, space arrangement, banquet tables, or lighting all contribute to shaping the look of a party. A beach wedding can be highlighted with soft colors, while an indoor space is suitable for a more formal and sophisticated arrangement. Choices of colors, materials, flowers, and banquet tables, when combined harmoniously, will help the overall party have consistency, from the reception area to the dining area.
Let your ideas be present on your wedding day
Every couple has their own preferences and stories, and the wedding day is an occasion for those things to be expressed through every choice. A favorite color palette, special flowers, banquet table arrangement, or a highlight reminiscent of the couple’s story can all become part of the wedding space.
When those details are included just enough, the space is not only beautiful but also bears the mark of the bride and groom themselves. It could be a minimalist arrangement, a nature-inspired party, or a space cared for according to personal preferences, as long as those choices reflect what you truly love.

The flexibility of the wedding venue
Besides space and landscape, flexibility is also a factor worth considering when choosing a wedding venue. A suitable venue should be able to accommodate many different styles and forms of organization, from intimate ceremonies with a moderate number of guests to large-scale weddings.
That flexibility also lies in the ability to change the arrangement, choose the space, and combine decorative elements according to each idea. When the venue can adapt to many different requirements, the bride and groom will have more space to be creative, instead of having to limit their ideas to an existing template.
Therefore, when searching for a wedding venue in Da Nang, besides considering the landscape or scale, consider the ability to turn that space into a part of your own story.
