THOUSANDS OF VISITORS RETURN AS THREE SON TRA TOUR ROUTES REOPEN
After a temporary closure to repair landslides caused by heavy rains, from September 16, three major sightseeing routes on the Son Tra Peninsula — Tien Sa – Suoi Om – Ban Co Peak, Ban Co Peak – Bai Bac, and Bai Bac junction – Heritage Banyan Tree — have officially reopened to visitors.

According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, in just the second half of September alone, the area welcomed 4,740 visitors, up 24.6% compared to the first half of the month, with international visitors increasing by nearly 70%. This demonstrates the strong appeal of Son Tra — the “green lung” of the coastal city.
Experiencing Nature in the Heart of Da Nang
The reopening of the routes offers diverse opportunities for nature lovers and active travelers.
From Ban Co Peak, located 700 meters above sea level where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Da Nang floating in a sea of clouds, to the 800-year-old Heritage Banyan Tree, and Bai Bac Beach with its clear turquoise waters — all together create an exciting journey for trekking, cycling, and outdoor adventures.
