DA NANG MICE TOURISM 2026: HONORING BUSINESSES, ENCOURAGING GROUPS TO RETURN

Entering 2026, Da Nang continues to strengthen its position as one of the most dynamic and professional MICE destinations in Vietnam and the region with the official launch of the Da Nang MICE Tourism Promotion Program 2026, featuring multiple adjustments that place businesses and group experience at the center.

According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this year’s program will be implemented throughout the period from January 1 to December 31, 2026, under the theme “Da Nang – Elevating your MICE Experience.” The city aims to welcome and support nearly 93,000 MICE visitors, an increase of approximately 12% compared to 2025.

MICE Policy 2026: More flexibility, clearer recognition and appreciation

Building on the foundation established since 2022, the Da Nang MICE Program 2026 continues to maintain familiar support policies such as airport welcome services, gifts, event organization consultancy, and media connection. However, this year’s difference lies in a more flexible approach and a stronger emphasis on long-term partnership value.

Specifically, the eligibility scale has been adjusted: domestic MICE groups of 70 guests or more and international MICE groups of 30 guests or more can now access support policies, allowing the program to reach a wider audience—especially medium- and small-scale international groups.

For the first time, the recognition and appreciation of outstanding MICE enterprises are designed to deliver tangible promotional value, such as maintaining company names and logos on the city’s MICE communication channels for 6–12 months, support for promotional materials placement, and cost incentives when participating in domestic and international promotion activities.

Notably, the program also introduces a dedicated policy for MICE groups returning to Da Nang for the second time or more. These enterprises and groups are recognized as “Loyal MICE Partners” and receive experience vouchers for new tourism products and preferential pricing from partner businesses.

Alongside support policies, Da Nang continues to encourage tourism enterprises to engage more deeply in building the MICE ecosystem. A key focus is the collaborative development of the MICE Standard Checklist, aiming to standardize service quality across event organization stages—from accommodation and conferences to ancillary experiences.

In addition, the development of specialized product combos such as conference–resort–teambuilding packages, conferences combined with cultural, culinary, and Central Vietnam heritage experiences is encouraged, thereby increasing value per group and extending length of stay.
