Entering the peak period of Christmas and the 2026 New Year celebrations, Da Nang has recorded a clear surge in aviation activity, with thousands of domestic and international flights operating each day. On average, approximately 267 flights per day are recorded, reflecting a significant increase in travel demand during the year-end holiday period.

Of these, international flights are expected to reach 792 arrivals, an increase of more than 12% compared to the same period last year, while domestic flights are projected at 950 arrivals, up approximately 18%. This growth is largely driven by airlines such as Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air, which have increased flight frequencies to meet demand for travel, family visits, and leisure during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The continuous expansion and stable maintenance of flight networks not only enable Da Nang to welcome a large volume of visitors during the festive season, but also play a crucial role in connecting the city with international markets, thereby enhancing Da Nang’s position on the regional tourism map.

Under a long-term orientation, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, together with Da Nang International Airport, Chu Lai Airport, and the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2026–2030 period. The cooperation focuses on promoting the launch and maintenance of air routes, destination marketing, market information sharing, and improving overall visitor experience.
