DA NANG WELCOMES THE 11TH KOREAN AIRLINE TO OPEN A DIRECT ROUTE
On the evening of November 24, 2025, flight WE201 operated by Parata Air departed from Incheon International Airport (South Korea) and landed at Da Nang International Airport, bringing 291 passengers to the coastal city. Da Nang is the first destination in Vietnam selected by Parata Air for operation.

The airline uses Airbus A330 aircraft (294 seats) with a steady frequency of 7 flights per week, increasing the total number of weekly flights on the Incheon – Da Nang route to 112, reaffirming the strong appeal of this market.
The welcoming ceremony for the inaugural flight took place at the international arrival hall of Da Nang International Airport, with the attendance of representatives from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Immigration Police – Da Nang International Airport Border Gate; the Customs Office; the Middle Airports Authority; Da Nang International Airport; Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company; and Parata Air.

The event featured a lively atmosphere with a water cannon salute – a ceremony symbolizing luck and successful beginnings. Passengers were welcomed with traditional art performances and received souvenirs such as conical hats, lanterns, and tourism publications, offering them initial impressions of local culture.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Văn Bá Sơn – Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – stated that South Korea remains Da Nang’s largest international tourist market, with more than 1.8 million visitors in the first 10 months of 2025, accounting for nearly 29% of international arrivals. Parata Air’s decision to select Da Nang as its first destination in Vietnam continues to affirm the city’s attractiveness and growing position among Korean tourists.
Mr. Jang Dongwon – Parata Air’s representative in Da Nang – expressed gratitude for the support of local authorities during the development of the new route. He shared that Parata Air has become the 11th Korean airline to operate flights to Da Nang and hopes that the route will further strengthen cooperation and exchange between the two countries.
Parata Air is a low-cost airline from South Korea, formerly known as Fly Gangwon, headquartered in Yangyang, Gangwon Province. The airline resumed operations at the end of 2025 after restructuring, rebranding, and investing in a new fleet of Airbus A320-200 and A330-200 aircraft. In November 2025, Parata Air plans to operate international flights from Seoul and Incheon to Vietnam and Japan (Tokyo, Osaka). For routes to Vietnam, the airline offers complimentary travel insurance to enhance passenger experience and peace of mind.
